O is an interim coach, he should never consider himself in the running. We shouldn't either.

I know people were trying to be excited for something, but this just never should be an issue. The only way it should have surfaced, would be IF he ran the table. He didn't.

No I think if he wins of from here he is the leading candidate. But I doubt lsu will not do a search to gauge interest either way.

As of now, I think Les would have the same record. Scary actually. It shows how lucky he's been for so long. So if Coach O wins out, it'd be better than the last option.

I agree. Today is a much bigger test for coach o. It is not hard getting the team up for Bama at home. Getting them up for a dangerous a d wounded Arky team on the road will be monumental. If LSU comes out with the same intensity as last week but plays to their offensive potential, I'd say he's really starting to prove himself. But I do t expect it. I believe LSU comes out lethargic and hungover from last week and the motivated Arky team comes out and tko's them right off the bat.

He's already out of the running after that pathetic effort against Alabama.

Yes. He shouldn't even be on the A or B list in the coaching search.

I like him too, but he HAS to win tonite, to prove he can break Miles bad habits.
He can lose 1 of the next 3 and probably still get the job, but not this one.

I disagree he wins the next 3 he is in.
Offseason we hire a top notch offensive coordinator and fire BDP along with Grimes. O is to valuable for d coaching and recruiting. We lose anyone of the next 3 and we find someone else.

I like Da Coacho.
But he is not qualified to be HC here.
And in all likelihood, was never in serious consideration.
The problem is, apparently, he considers himself in line for consideration, by virtue of his interim position.
Morons on this site have jumped to support him, bolstering his expectations.
This is not good chemistry to keep Da Coacho , or, for that matter, Coach Aranda.
I hope the AD will take steps to correct expectations, win or lose tonight.
But I don't know who is in charge: Alleva or F. KIng....

Yep. We have a once in a generation talent at RB who isn't even leading the SEC in rushing. The game plan for the Bama game looked like something Miles would've drawn up. No misdirection, no imagination, and no adjustments made at halftime. I like Coach O, but LSU can do much better and should. I'm more concerned about keeping Aranda.

We are not a spread football team...it's going to take more than 2 weeks to become efficient in the spread.
