I think he is a top 10 coordinator . He did a masterful job in the 1st half then stopped what was working which was the blitz. He is the highest paid Def cord in the country but do you honestly think currently LSU is playing up to its potential on Defense??? I guess if the offense can keep playing the way its playing we can keep winning but had any of the top teams, minus auburn, had the ball with 2 mins down 6 are you confident Aranda's defense can stop them from scoring.

Had he gone prevent, leaving UA receivers in space, that allows them to move down the field or take a slant for 70...you would be here saying the same. Keep up the good fight

You know that Top 10 teams can play, right? And that modern offenses score quickly, right?

It would blow this clown's mind to see what Bama has given up in their last 4 top 10 games.

He didn't.

The Rant loves to say he stops/starts blitzing because they can't actually talk Xs and Os. They only think it's a blitz if the QB is pressured. It doesn't enter their brain that the offense can actually pick up blitzes too.

He certainly would improve the situation at Arkansas. Of course that's a pretty low bar.

When he was at Wisconsin I got the impression he preferred being an assistant to being the guy in charge. But that's not based on anything concrete.

Absolutely! The defense dominated Auburn. The offense struggled to get the ball into the EZ in that game, and the defense stepped up. Good/great defense does not look like it did 10 years ago.

Once vincent went out, the defense got less aggressive because there were backups in at safety as well.

Well they must have picked up a lot of blitzes in the second half to score almost 30 points. My point is this we have given up big plays at the end of all our big games. Why? Do you blame the offense for not scoring enough and that’s why it was close? No way we shouldn’t be holding our breaths during onside kicks or watching the final seconds when no one can hardly stop our offense. Honestly in every one of these big games if the opposing offense would have gotten the ball back(onside kick)? Do you think our defense would have stopped them. These games shouldn’t be that close WHY because our defense. So I will enjoy the ride and I do think we win the natty but folks this defense has talent but definitely has issues and that’s on Aranda

Aranda is a very good D.C.

Some of y'all wanting perfection need to realize sometime change ends up backfiring. Aranda has some elite talent coming in next year

He won’t get any looks this year.D is red headed step child. Every body looking for the O gurus. D coordinations will never be considered until that trend ends.

Maybe it’s the because of the bolder part. And we still won, which is the most important stat.

Gah damn!

He called a great game Saturday!

Some of you are so fn butthurt over 2 blown coverages, get the fk over it!

This game was 3 plays...3 plays from being 46-20 (2 blown coverages and punt return)

Yet these idiots will never understand it. Aranda was masterful this game. And is the top DC in college football. Hope he stays as long as possible

Just think about what Aranda has been up against this season. He lost the heart and soul of his defense in Devin White to the draft. The guy who was supposed to step up and be the field general, simply wasn't up to the task. Divinty was up and down and then gone.

Aranda has had to juggle the lineup because of injuries to key players. I know, I know. This is football, injuries happen. But he's had to go without his best D lineman, best pass rusher, a starting Safety, etc. At some point you just run out of dudes. LSU didn't have a lot of depth to begin with.

a blown call by the Defensive Coordinator?
we're not talking about an individual player here!
the average football fan knows the DC called this play. it wasn't Stingley's fault.
so what you are saying, Aranda made a bad call even though givin the circumstances the correct call should have been a prevent type D.
is it possible Aranda was taking a nap?
my .02 cents.
