If Harris doesn't throw that pass, we more than likely win that game. IMO, it was Miles trying to change from a power run offense to incorporating more passes into it.
Then he benches Harris and puts Etling in as the starter and it made a lot of difference. Not trying to rip on Harris but Etling was better. That final second pass, again, a pass, not a run, by Etling vs. Auburn should've counted.

This is what he does 24/7 he stalks the board looking to start fights.
as many times as he has been caught straight up lying and getting owned, youd think he'd stop looking for confrontation.

Made me wish Les had just changed a few things over the years and maybe still be the coach here.
After he won a NC in 2007 he started changing. He became conservative on offense and basically the game passed him by. He couldn't compete with the defenses in college football anymore. Nick upped the ante on that side of the ball and OC like Stud just weren't smart enough to compete. I liked Miles, I thought he was good for the image of LSU, he just changed and not for the best.

Miles was an IDIOT for agreeing to do this. LSU got screwed.

if he wins 4 games in a season he’ll be the first KU coach to do it in a decade.
The post said 4 wins in a decade. Where was I wrong?
Unless you are 12, those winning seasons were not that long ago. Also between 06 to 09, they won 31 games.
Nothing in my post was false, frick you if you don't like it.

Yep. 5 Big wins. Whoo boy!

You're right. Mangino won 5 or more games in 6 of 8 seasons between the 2002 to 2009 seasons. Since the 2009 5 win season, Kansas has won 18 games with 3 being the most in any one season.

kansas hasnt won 4 games since 2009.
plus miles has already taken a bad program( 1 .500 season or better in 11 years) and made them respectable.
That's correct Rick. From 06 to 09 they won 31 games and had a 12 win season in that run.
Did I read that wrong?

You don't own anyone. You just repeat a bunch of nonsense.

Fact of the matter is that most of not all of us won't see another run at LSU like Les had here. Them are just the facts.
No, “them” are just opinions. Learn the difference.

I really wish Alleva hadn’t been allowed to fire him - imagine if Woody had come in and possibly convinced him to make some tweaks.
God I’m still pissed for firing him in the middle of the season - the Wisconsin game was a last-second Brandon Harris chokejob and the Auburn TD should have counted. Remember, it was Les who made the switch to Etling; he was willing to adapt somewhat.
Alleva should have allowed to fire him in 2015. It was an eventuality that Les get canned. We didn't lose the Wisconsin game because of Harris (who was Les/Cam's choice) we lost because of the pitiful offensive performance of the previous 58 minutes. Without White's INT return and a gift INT when Wisconsin was driving the score would have been lopsided.
Miles had every opportunity to change and he FAILED to do so. "Woody" couldn't have convinced him to do anything.

He would still be here if he wasn't so hardheaded!!!

I miss Les Miles. He will always be a Tiger. A good man and a decent honest coach. Unfortunately the level of corruption in collegiate sports (especially football) does not tolerate decent honest coaches. Glad to hear Les & Kathy keep a presence in Louisiana. This will always be their home.

Nick changed philosophy between 11/11 and 1/12. After watching his team lose with a conservative game plan and poor kicking he modified his approach to include more deep passes and passes to RB/TE. He continued to modify overall to where they are today with RPO. He wants to reduce risk and low percentage of negative plays. It’s a smart plan given the speed of defenses today.

History will be kind to Les Miles' tenure at LSU.
It will. A National Championship, SEC Championships, many epic games...just one awful showing on the sports biggest stage. He's LSU's All Time Winningest coach in Football, by far. That will be enough.

Les Miles screwed up when he hired his bud, Cam Cameron, otherwise things would be drastically different.

Yeah I love Les Miles. He is a good person who cared for his players and bled purple and gold.... but the quote below on “how to beat Bama” (after he was let go) is exactly why he is gone.

Hero-worship like this from an adult is so cringey. Grow up.

I didn't say you were wrong. All I said was they won 5 games 10 years ago.

Also between 06 to 09, they won 31 games.
That's great. Over 10 years ago they won 31 games. Whooo-Boy!
From 2010 to 2018, they won 18 games. That's 2 games a season. Powerhouse program Miles took over there.

Nothing in my post was false, frick you if you don't like it.
And I'm not saying that it can't happen (winning 6 games in year 2), I'm just saying that the odds of that happening aren't good.
But again, I've seen enough of your Miles bashing posts to realize what your angle is.
