I must have missed where Wade had a winning season at LSU
plus the following NCAA bid, sweet 16 run and final four bid. Wade has already accomplished this I guess

LSU is making boat loads of money. Most everyone is excited about the football & basketball coaches. There's plenty of time left for baseball to get right. Alleva may not be popular and has made a few mistakes, but I fail to see why he's a bad AD.

I do not agree with some of the things he has done, but I believe it's all political, as is everything now a days. He is in place to handle the financial aspects, but when it comes to hiring and firing he is more of just a face for TAF and the big boosters

Dude, you know this is the Rant and people here would find a reason to hate Santa Clause and I know Santa Clause, Santa Clause is a friend of mine. Joe Alleva is no Santa Clause.

Let's not jump the gun. There's cause for optimism, and we hope this turns out to be a good hire. However, we honestly don't know yet.
If he turns out to be good, props to Alleva. If not, he deserves the blame as well.

Hired Nikki Fargas.
Let miles twist in the wind for a month and--despite leaking info to the press--couldn't control the story at the end of 2015. resulting in pro-Miles sentiment and Alleva botching the firing.
Finally fired miles, only to botch the search for a replacement.
Couldn't close the deal with Herman and didn't even TRY to persuade him to come to BR after UT got involved.
Settled on a "fit" hire with our D-Line coach.
Fires Jones and decries the idea of finding the "right fit" to replace him.
Oh, and he botched the handling of the UF hurricane situation. Despite doing everything correctly and being in the right, LSU was seen nationally as the bad guy.
Alleva is a fricking joke. The hire of a men's bball coach doesn't change that.

I'll give credit on this hire. He still is an AWFUL AD.
