with as many good kickers La. produces why should the Tigers have problems getting a good one.

Agreed. Etling looked good with the exception of a couple throws.

Oline has some work to do as MSU will be light years better upfront. But, I think they'll step it up.

Defense came in a tad sluggish and you could see Aranda was frustrated at times. Comes with youngins.

Next week will be the measuring tape.

Where did I ever say I wanted to lose? Don't put words in my mouth idiot.

I've been on record as saying I hated the hire, but I'm behind him now and I've thoroughly enjoyed these 1st two games. However, they've been sloppy, geez man. Quit being so blinded by your boy.

We may have to go back to actually recruiting kickers like under Miles. Just not as many.

I get what you're saying, but this is the best team Mullen has had at State since Dak was QBing the #1 team in the country. This year's Bulldogs have a better D than that team did.

Fitzgerald may be the best QB in the SEC.

Too many penalties.

Not finishing drives. Yes the missed FGs are an issue but honestly they should have been PAT's.

D was very good overall, but was not sharp early.

I liked the play calling esp showing deep balls several times. OL was ok Etling was flushed out of pocket and hit more than you would like against an inferior opponent.

While I am big fan of spreading the ball around getting touches for a bunch of folks, Guice and Chark are very special--don't want to over use them, but I would not be upset if they got a couple more touches. They are dynamic game changers. (Not that it was necessary v Chatt)

Overall it was a beatdown, there are things to work on but looked very good.

Beat Cowbell U and head to UF undefeated 5-0 to start the "real" season.

And if you noticed, Aranda didn't really bring any blitz pressure those first couple of drives. We mostly rushed 3 sometimes 4. Once he started bringing pressure the defense looked like it did last week. Getting Key and Lawremce back will also make a difference

Must cut down on penalty, try really hard to find kickers!!! We never can seem to find a kicker that can kick it in the in zone. Field goal kicker, punter? God help us when we get to the meat of the schedule.

Yeah idk what the deal is with Culp. He was a top 10 kicker nationally out of HS, redshirted last year then got beat out by a walkon. Hope he can get it together.

The passes into coverage worked exactly how they were supposed to work, playmakers making plays.

Yeah, the one to Sullivan in the middle of the field was definitely designed for him to go up and get it. He is 6'6", he is out there to grab jump balls.

Some people need to watch the NFL today. You have to throw into coverage and trust your QB to put it in the right spot at times. Aaron Rodgers has made a living doing this.

Side note, our DB group looks great. Too many mistakes in general last night though, would like to see more out of both lines.

I saw double coverage for a completion. I must have missed three defenders draped on a WR.
Was not triple coverage. DB was burned, S was both late and bad angle and another DB was trying to help trailing up the rear (he broke off a curl I think).

So there were 3 in the picture frame, but that's not triple coverage. Ball was indeed underthrown allowing DB and S to be in position, but Chark did his job and adjusted (quickly and at the last minute) before the coverage could do the same.

That's one thing not being commented on and we've seen it several times from Chark; it will make him lots of money this coming year. He is excellent at playing the ball, but not letting the DB see it. The DB is reading his body and his eyes. Chark times his adjustment just right, adjusts quickly, and is putting gloves on leather when the DBs are just starting their reaction.

Years ago Jerry Rice commented on this. Eye control as not to alert the DB that it's time for him to find the ball. Until you alert that DB, he's watching your hips for a break.

I disagree here. If Etling plays like that for the remainder of the year, it is going to be a long season come SEC play. He only had 8 completions (blah blah blah gameplan), and even a couple of those were lucky to not be intercepted.

Oline looked meh.

Kicking game could get in into serious trouble as we play close, low scoring SEC games.

Young guys made freshman mistakes (Delpit, Taylor) but will learn as the season progresses

Need a kicker, can't believe we let #1 kicker go to Bama

Like Donnie Alexander, but he needs to clean his game up, look lost and was a liability at times last night.

I want to see more slants, intermediate passing

Deculus doesn't have the feet to be a LT.

he was picked to be an all SEC dlineman last year before his injury and has a ton of experience. He is better then an out of shape Lawrence.

In what universe is LaCouture better than Lawrence. LaCouture is a good leader who works hard and can eat up some space, but in years past that kid is a serviceable 2nd stringer at LSU!

None were close to being intercepted.

He made a couple of bad throws but hasn't shown a propensity for turnovers yet.

Danny is 23/35 for 403 yards and zero picks through 2 games and half the rant wants to bench him.

Yep, these are people who have made up their minds already, and there's really nothing he can do to quiet them.
