So how are we going to negate the speed-rush off the edge?

Seriously, people? No more talk of Little Debbie. I want answers. Hell, I want the truth, and I promise I can handle the truth.
Do we screen them? Do we run the draw? I personally foresee rolling the pocket and check-with-me pre-snap in order to roll the pocket away from the rush.
Then again, I personally don't see anything like that.
But what about the rest of you folks who still have some positivity in you? What do ya'll think?

I think we need to dink and dunk them. Unfortanatly, we have not shown a great ability to sustain drives, which is what you need to do.
The other option is to run the ball right at them. Defensive ends don't like having the ball rin right at them. They would rather pursue.

What also worries me is that Les says he wants to throw the ball deep down field, but our O-line needs to contain their D-line for at least 4 seconds plus Mett's long arse throwing motion. I suspect a lot of sacks.

Let Clowney through the line and hit him square in the nuts with the ball.

I suspect les will do exactly what he did against auburn and Florida.
Honestly though, South Carolina will stack the box and sit on underneath routes all night.
They know Lsu can't block clowney long enough for deep passibg plays. And even if they can, there's a good chance they won't catch the ball.
Spurrier will make Mett beat them. He will shut Down the running game of Lsu.

To slow down edge rushers you do lots of stuff LSU simply doesn't. We're gonna senselessly pound the ball into the line, hope for some breaks, a dominant (non-heat fatigued) performance from the D and great special teams play in an attempt to pull out the win.
Why people would expect anything different from Miles in a big game is beyond me. Not saying it's impossible to win this way as we've done quite a bit of it, but we most certainly won't come out looking any different than we have the past 2 years.

quick passes to flats, spread offense
we both have the same number of players - when they bring someone off the edge we should have someone free

Very well said
There are ways to negate a good pass rush.. Les just doesn't think he needs to.
Ground and pound for 50 yards Saturday.

We will...our tackles.

and tackles need to learn to slide

We will keep USCe off balance until a mistake is made.
Once a mistake is made we will shut down offense/go vanilla and hope D/ST can win game.
This has been scheme for 4 years, don't see much changing by Saturday

Personally, I'll give the LT a shot one on one early in the game, and if he can't handle him, I start to throw a variety of things at him. Chipping with the TE. Chipping with the back. Blocking with both. Slide protecting left and cutting the right DE with the back. Cutting Clowney. Basically, the kitchen sink would be thrown at him.

I'd like to see Copeland hit him in the mouth early and often
