Predictably this thread was exaggerated about how bad this team is. Truth is, its a good but not great team with a few flaws.

I don't think this team is "bad".
I think there are coaching holes, I think Gibbs and Cain need to be shown the door at seasons end. The mistakes they continue to make would normally be corrected in the dugout and are not.

I don't think the talent is on par with what we're used to. Little guys with not much pop, lack of team leadership and ineffective between at bat instruction is taking its toll this season. Some of the years these guys had last season were anomalies.

This team is playing like a middle level squad that gets into a regional as a 3 or 4 seed and gets their doors blown off by the big boys!

Well, we have one of LSU's best fielding teams ever. That's a big plus.
Now, if we could get consistent pitching and hits with RISP we'd be unbeatable! :-)

There's really nothing more to say than this. There is nothing about this team that is good in any way except their fricking fielding percentage. If you were a MLB scout, would you draft any of these players? If you were a college AD, would you hire any of these coaches?
