This team is definitely a final four team.
Based on what? They got blown out by SC and split with bottom half of the Top 25 Tennessee. That’s the full extent of their resume against ranked opponents. How many Big 10 teams have you followed closely to draw that conclusion?

They are not a final 4 team, probably not even final 8. Their best player is good stat wise. She grabs a lot of rebounds and doesn't do much with half of them and she has no ousite shot at all.
Definitely capable of getting to final four but that’s probably the ceiling. I don’t think people realize it’s just South Carolina and then everyone else.
ETA: also what you’re saying about Angel Reese makes no sense. Easily one of the best players in the country. Do you not understand double or triple teams?

Indiana(#2), Maryland(#5), and Stanford(#6) all knocked off!

Unfortunately all were projected as higher seeds than LSU and will stay so.

You are rooting against one of our best players… you are the worst type of fan. And honestly it’s a stretch to call you that. You deserve ULL.

What does next year look like for the Lady Tigers?
They’re going to be loaded.
Angel Reese, Flau’jae Johnson, Last-Tear Poa, Kateri Poole, and Sa’myah Smith all return. If Amani Bartlett reaches her potential, there’s another solid 6-3 post player. But she’s been a disappointment and I could see her transferring to somewhere like Tulane or a Texas school for more playing time.
But the reinforcements coming are what gives the SEC nightmares. Mikaylah Williams is a generational player and despite some services having her as number two, she’s hands-down the number one recruit in the country. She’ll make a big impact in year one.
And Kim may have snagged the best high school post player in America in Aalyah Del Rosario. She’s 6-5, big bodied, and could develop into another Aliyah Boston under Mulkey’s tutelage.
Mulkey also snagged Angelica Velez, Del Rosario’s high school teammate, one of the top point guards in the nation. So yes, Mulkey’s 2023 recruiting class is the best in the country.
And just like Kim did this year, it’s safe to say there will be one or two impact transfers coming in to play for Mulkey, likely with as much impact as Reese.
So yes, next years team is loaded. And 2024-2025, Reese’s senior year, Flau’jae’s junior year, and Williams’, Del Rosario’s, and Velez’s second year, plus another top recruiting class and more impact transfers?
That team could be an all-time great. Kim will have a bench likely going 10-deep with five-star talent. There’s a decent chance LSU hoists the NC trophy in 2023-2024. There’s a better than even chance they do the following year.
