I'll let you do the math

based on 90% of the comments, lack of development is jimbo's fault then.

Brohm was worse each year under Krags.

I'm not sure if you are serious. Brohm only had Kragthorpe for 1 year (2007), and he threw for 4,000 yards and 29 touchdowns

You can't say Crowton didn't coach flynn his senior most successful season at lsu

Can we wait until people get here before we start to slam them?

ONly person getting slammed is crowton who is getting no credit for coaching and further developing Flynn all while winning a national championship.

Even if you give Crowton credit for developing Flynn (which I think is nuts) you have to discredit him for detroyong two other QBs.

Flynn was a better athlete than Brohm and very well-coached coming out of high school. Jimbo was his QB coach for 4 years. He was playing lights out vs Miami in the Ga Dome two seasons prior to Crowton's arrival. So no, Gary didn't have a great deal to do with Flynn's QB evolution as far as I can tell.

You act like JJ and JL were some kind of second coming of Joe Montana. People need to accept the fact that they are just not that good.

so what you're saying is that Jimbo > Petrino at QB development?

or am I reading too much into this?

So Les coached Flynn. Saban coached Mauck. Both won National Championships. Both went to the NFL. Flynn is still in the NFL. Mauck is not. Therefore Les is a better coach then Saban.

Same standards as ur Crowton Krag theory.

BTW I don't believe my post, just used it to make a point.

Les did beat Saban this year with jordan jefferson as his qb.

What fiasco? Rohan was coming off a pre season knee injury so he couldn't practice. Nall was injured in fall practice so he couldn't compete. That left Booty as the starter. After UAB fiasco, Rohan got his chance vs Tennesse and earned his chance. Unfortunately he was injured again so Booty was once more the starter. We reeled off several wins so Booty remained the starter until the Bowl game.
Fact is all those quarterbacks improved once Jimbo was brought in.
