So I noticed LSU and Will Wade being involved in this trial. I really didn’t fully understand why he was involved but is this something to be worried about? Maybe somebody with a little more knowledge on the subject could let me know.

Adam Zagoria Tweet
Here is a link to a tweet I saw this morning with a description of the trial. I am the same as you. I don’t know many details but unfortunately, it’s probably not good to be named in this.

Basketball is dirtier than football. There isn't a single clean program in the top 50.

The tweet just lists Wade as a name that might come up.
I'm not interpreting that to mean Wade participated in the payoffs. If he was recruiting against coaches who participated, and knew what was going on, they might call him in to talk about it.

He's probably listed because some coach got salty we stole top recruits from them and just reported LSU. Could be simple as that...

All the schools mentioned in the trial (Louisville, Miami, Kansas, NC State) are Adidas schools
Which is the main point of the trial. A former exec of Adidas was (allegedly) wiring money to recruits to get them to go to one school
Arizona and Sean Miller are Nike, but (allegedly) were offered the chance to counter.
Will Wade and LSU are involved because we recruited Nassir Little and Balsa Koprivica
And according to one article I read (ABC Chicago, date yesterday, LINK)
No calls were found in records for Wade's university-issued cell phone to two cell phone numbers registered to Dawkins (one of the defendants)

Yeah that's what I read as well. I wasn't too sure if there was anything else to be worried about. I did see something mentioned in the article about wade's recruiting tactics. To me it kind of sounds like other universities upset he's getting a top class at lsu.

No doubt.
I remember when there was a freak out moment because of the report that LSU and will Wade were under investigation for recruiting violations and the both LSU and the NCAA were like... Uhh not true
Someone salty

Considering LSU didn't get those guys I would assume LSU is clear on this.
Knowing the NCAA though, they will look to make examples out of someone.
But it won't be UK, Kansas, UNC or Duke, you can book that.
Also, if Pearl can survive this I don't think LSU and Wade have anything to worry about.

His name was probably in the tweet because when all this started, LSU did an internal investigation to check out Wade and he was cleared. Why? Because he was grabbing big time recruits left and right and some twidiots questioned that.

Wade is a potential witness only. Not named and not under investigation.

Not even really a potential witness, prosecutors just identifying names that may be mentioned at trial. Not uncommon during jury selection of high profile cases.
Potential witnesses are always mentioned during jury selection of any trial.

Wade is too busy recruiting top 5 classes to waste time talking to dirty recruiting services.

Wade is named because he is current LSU coach. The two players accused of obtaining illegal benefits are "Tim Quarterman and Jarrell Martin" and both played for Johnny Jones.

This is about current recruits.

LSU recruited Little and Koprivica, who might decide to skip college altogether, sources told ESPN. Tigers coach Will Wade signed the No. 5 class in the country this past year, including four players in the ESPN Top 100. In response to an open-records request from ESPN, LSU officials said no calls were found in records for Wade's university-issued cell phone to two cell phone numbers registered to Dawkins.
