Why is sitting out a year pursuant to our policy not enough? Oh no, the guy smoked weed. Big deal.

Ummm, no. We have a policy, sitting out a year would meet that policy. Allowing him to come back because he's a great football player makes sense to me considering he would be significantly punished pursuant to our own policy.

how is it bending the rules if the policy says it should be a 1 year suspension?

The AD should do what is in the best interest of LSU.

You sure this is only his 3rd offense and no prior deals were made with him his coaches or AD?

Just boggles my mind why Alleva would have such an internal policy that is stricter than anything the NCAA has.

It appears that this was not offense #3. Clear as day

Are you sure it wasn't? We can both play this game.

Please elaborate on how you came to this conclusion. You may be right, I don't know. But you certainly don't know either.

FOR WHAT??????

As far as we know he has failed 0 drug tests while at LSU. Please point me to where it is confirmed he failed any or I can just assume he failed 8 of them by the same logic.

This.

He knew the rules.
Apparently he decided that he is bigger than LSU.
He's not.

So what about sitting out for a year and returning is not in keeping with the rules? Does every school in college football have different rules from LSU's super strict rules? The answer is no.

it would become a NCAA violation if it was his 4th failed drug test. That changes everything

If we didn't suspend him after his 3rd violation, that would also be a NCAA violation

Are you kidding me.

1 instance was LAST YEAR. He was suspended and it was very public.

It has also been pretty well known from context clues from administration statements that this was drug related.

I've already posted this. But have you ever thought that not every test was DURING the season? Or is that too much for someone to understand on this board?

Nowhere

yes. Reasonable speculation is that after #3 or whatever he was told one more and you are gone for good. Miles followed through.

I agree, please enlighten me and point me to where I can find the confirmed info of him failing a drug test oh wise one.

For all we know this whole ordeal could be about something totally different. The AD and Coach will decide his future since he was not yet man enough to turn down a J.

if there was a 3rd offense, he wouldn't have been practicing last week. the policy states you are barred from all athletics, including practice and using team facilities, not just being suspended from games.

so we risked NCAA sanctions to give him 1 more chance?

Alleva vouched for lacrosse players that fricking raped a chick, yet he doesn't want a fb player to come back to play after sitting out a yr for smoking pot.
