Its the law and a team rule that he broke at least 3 times. If i fail a test at my job i'm done.....now warning , no suspension....

Joe Alleva is enforcing the rules TM7 didn't want to follow

Well its a stupid situation. The kid can never play for LSU again even if he is willing to sit out a year?

Stupid Stupid Stupid

I would not blame TM7 if he sat out to repair his image for the draft and in the meantime went to play for an LSU rival.

I hear you Stinkbait, I really dont have a problem with the dismissal and I agree he apparently was given numerous chances and I also agreewith you that at work , you fail a drug test you gone. I guess I ve been in some personal situations that probably makes me too lenient.

i was a huge RP fan.. but at least even he had actually been ARRESTED..

he was also known to randomly shout at people. he may of even at one point had a gun on him? it's been so long but to compare the 2 is unfair.. and again i like RP and never thought he was so bad.

oh and he actually missed a team meeting.. lots of class perhaps.. i dunno. i don't believe tm ever missed any meetings.

The difference is we know TM7 has failed at least three drug tests, possibly four. To this day I don't know of anything RP actually did, yet y'all ran him outta town so fast he probably didn't even get a chance to pack.

RP had many many problems involving fights, drugs (not weed, but cocaine issues), was a divider on the team, gun issues, etc.

TM failed some drugs tests due to weed, possibly adderal.

Not the same to me.

If a Tennis player or a track athlete was in this situation nobody would care and no extra thought would be given to it. In the end he's just another athlete that was given a free education and the potential to make millions, but couldn't follow the simple rules put in front of him.

I wish the guy the best, but he deserves no special treatment and a responsible AD should not bend the rules because the player is popular...

And I have friends that had no relation to the football program or any athletic department get away with ten times worse stuff. The microscope goes both ways.

Do we have posters with any analytical ability whatsoever?

Why is sitting out an entire year not enough if it's enough for every other school in the FCS and NCAA?

A year to clean up with NO GUARANTEE of making it back on the team is not special treatment.

You could do this with any athlete.

It's also policy if he failed 3 tests. They should change the policy if they are going abuse their power. Then people like me would have no reason to be mad.

how is it bending the rules if the policy says it should be a 1 year suspension?

The AD should do what is in the best interest of LSU.

More reason for him him to keep the bong away from his lips....

That's the rules he agreed to when he signed on to play. If he didn't like them or thought their was a chance he would break them he should of went somewhere it would be covered up.
