By a combined 21 points. Notice that most of those guys are defensive players. Coaching lost the first two games. The Alabama game was damn close until the entire Bama offense got away with holding in the fourth quarter. The Florida game was lost in the redzone by the offense. This was a good team. Had they gone a full year without Miles, then they likely would have contended for the SEC.
Well put.
However, you are probably wasting your keystrokes.
Alot of people on here will only ever see the DARK SIDE of whatever situation we find ourselves in.

Their linebackers were largely unproven
What? Tim williams and Reuben Foster were not unproven coming into 2016.
Tim Williams had 9.5 sacks in 2015.
Foster had 73 tackles in 2015.

Not sure I understand, so you're saying that since three of the players in their front 7 are projected to go in the first round that their whole team is automatically more talented?
Uh they are more talented.
You do realize that 6 sec programs have either matched or exceeded lsu's draft numbers from the last 2 years right?
Bama's 2016 draft class alone was almost as big as our last 2 draft classes combined.
Bama has 6-7 players with a 1st round grade.
Its still amazing how some of our fans still cling to this tired myth that lsu is as talented as bama. I wont even get into how some of our classes were propped up by skill position 5 star players.

Are you under the assumption that lsu didnt have a chance to win the sec title when miles was fired? You cant tout how good the team looked without miles and then act like it wasnt the coaches that lost the games that eliminated us from the sec title.
It wasnt miles that went into the bama game tryinh to use the same bullshite gameplan that miles stubbornly tried to use. Where were the plays with Guice and LF in the same backfield?
Where were the carries for Guice?
It wasnt miles that lost to a 14 point underdog at home while they were missing tons of defensive starters.
While yes miles shouldve been fired after 2015, this team still had a chance to win the sec title once he was fired

the rant said we don't have close to the amount of talent that Bama has...
because we don't. no one does. their recruiting classes are far and away better than anyone else in the country and their players' draft grades are consistently higher as well. how many players a team has invited in a single to the combine is irrelevant

We had a weak offensive line
We had the most olineman to make the all sec team.
We had a remington award finalist that made numerous AA teams. We had mutliple publicatios say our oline was the best in the country
In no way was our oline weak or bad.

Yeah. Bama is more talented than every team in cfb. Not just lsu. What is it 6 straight #1 classes?

Nothing in that poster says "most." Per Bleacher Report which gives the lists... Michigan has 14 participants. Bama/LSU at 10. Clem, Miami, and aTm at 9.
Still a top crop to be proud of!

Its not even fair. Along with being a great defensive mind he is easily the greatest recruiter of all time.

Dupre prolly would been better off with another year and a few more pounds under his belt...

I'm happy for all of them but got damn that is a lot of talent gone.

My point is that the d line does so much it frees them up. Basically, they weren't tested IMO. They will be at the next level. As I stated, they could be great.

Still think Dwayne Thomas and Lewis Neal should have gotten invited.
They don't want to make it too obvious, that LSU is the 33rd nfl franchise lol

Lots of guys had their dicks up Les' arse for the last 5 years, wonder what their explanation would be.

Just hits home how much talent was wasted by not firing Miles after the 2015 season.
Posted on 2/16/17 at 2:54 pm to FLBooGoTigs1
Uh, actually LSU & da gumps are sending 10, but Michigan is sending 14 to the combine according to NOLA Sports...
