I can only think of times in the past where co-coordinators have been a failure. When has it worked before? Whether college or NFL?

This, don’t remember it working last time it was given a go at LSU. Granted these are different people but if it was so successful wouldn’t more people be doing it?

the Badgers 492 yards of offense

That would have never happened if the Tigers had just worn the right uniform

Emsminger & Joe Brady? Does that ring a bell?

I thought Joe Brady was the OC, and Ensminger was more of an advisor.

The running narrative was Ensminger called 1st and 2nd down plays, Brady had 3rd down and red zone (or goal line) plays. And if you rewatch those games when they put the camera on the booth, there is actual proof of Ensminger calling plays. So no, he wasn't a "consultant" while Brady ran the offense.

Shoot! I thought I had a shot at the position. My wife says the way I dress I'm an offensive coordinator.

It's the other way around. Same sort of relationship you'll see with Sloan and Hankton

Clemson had co-OCs during their glory years from 2014-2019. Georgia and Michigan had co-DCs last year. All got nattys.

This is how a smart HC keeps two great coaches on his staff. For every Malveto, there are plenty of success stories. People on this board are just ignorant of how other successful programs have been run.

Wonder how many schools in the SEC would trade their OC(s) for LSUs right now?
