If LSU was going to kick Hill off the team, they would have already done so after he went to court and got his punishment for the punch.
What is LSU going to do? Wait for the judge NOT to send him to prison in August and then kick him off the team?
That would make no sense at all.
I find it strange that Skip would make such a statement, but not that Doucet would have a hand in reporting more possible bullshite.

This whole thing is little more than Doucet pathetically looking for attention and Skip doing much of the same. Both are irrelevant (Skip is retired/Doucet blows) and clinging to anything they can get.

How is this a Hill vs Skip thing now in your mind?
Is it possible that Hill screwed up (duh) and Skip also screwed up by talking about something that jumps protocol and/or isn't decided yet?
For the record, I want Hill to stay on the team with a 2-3 game suspension. He has two misdemeanors -- in the grand scheme of things, his behavior is not horrific, just stupid, and can be corrected. And, yes, I can admit that the fact he's an absolute stud on the field weighs in my opinion. If Thomas Dunson had pulled this crap then I'd be the first to help him pack.

Completely irrelevant as Skip is no longer the AD. While he certainly has a right to hold an opinion on the matter, given his past position, he ought to have the good sense to keep it to himself. Why? For the same reason most former US Presidents don't run to the nearest podium to start telling their replacements what they ought to be doing now that they sit in the Oval Office. Because it's bad form.
Frankly, I have more respect for Skip to think he'd do this...and by this I mean either give such a definitive opinion to the news media like this, or divulge inside info before LSU has a chance to release it first.

As someone who lives in BR and has many friends that work in and around this case and these matters, I would say im as connected as Skip on the legal side of this matter, yes.

This mentality worked out so well for the program during the RP, JJ, and TM issues. Hopefully Hill can clean up, but if those three showed us anything, the odds are stacked against him.

No one is siding with Hill over Skip.
That said, Skip doesn't need to be making comments about such things to the press or where the press can hear.

Skip is a narcissistic a-hole who sticks his nose where it doesn't belong all the time. Always has, always will.
He is one of the best coaches that ever lived and made LSU's baseball program what it is. I think these traits often go hand in hand with great coaches.
