If Miles wanted Hill gone, he would be gone by now.
Imagine if you were Les. Oh yeah that's what we all do. If I was Les and I was going to make an unpopular decision that was going to rile up my fans, would I make it right away so that those fans had lots of time before the season began to react. Or would I wait until practice had started and there was only two weeks to the first game so that the fans had lots to think about. Food for thought.

Again, without an actual quote, there is nothing here to see. It could have been as simple as a reporter asking "Miles has implied that if Hill's probation is revoked, he will be off the team. Do you agree?" And Skip responds, "sure."

Reporter tells JD, "Skip thinks Hill won't play this year." JD tweets.

Because Skip's ever only had a one word opinion..

What? I would say frick the fans and wait for some kind of legal resolution before making a decision. Like he is doing right now.

Yeah, it could be something as simple as Skip saying "Right now, the football team is preparing to play without Hill"

It's strange that the "shreveport media" that has this scoop has yet to write a story on it.

Should've taken Taylor.......

some of us knew that could come back to bite us.

.......I damn sure hope that Blue or hilliard don't go down, because that means Magee and Brazill will be getting significant snaps at RB.

if our oline improves under Cam/Stud that shouldn't be an issue. just one more reason why CamRob is a must get.

quote:

That and next year we'll be stuck with 2+ freshman in the rotation after Blue and Hilliard leave

again if our passing game substantially improves with Cam and Jennings gives us head, feet and arm that shouldn't be an issue.

Excellent planning.

yeah...it's the staffs fault that Hill has a million dollar body and a $2 brain.

and that's IF Fournette doesn't pull a McKnight.

the consensus "all in on Fournette" displayed on this board was short sighted at best. hopefully, the 'experts' are right in their assumption that LF will be a Tiger....I'm not so sure. JMO.

get better.

I tweeted at Doucet asking him to elaborate and he responded with:

"There is video + he said it. Watched it this morning. Was interviewed by local TV stations. "Just my opinion" he says."

Nothing to see here.

You said Miles told him because they are friends. It was skip's opinion, which means nothing.

Interesting. Skip shouldn't have an opinion about LSU athletics, even though he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the university. And a former AD of the university. Yet, he shouldn't have an opinion.

Good thing we have this message board so all of the people truly worthy of having an opinion can express it

That's not what I said you fricking moron. It was incredibly irresponsible for Skip to make a public statement like this because people will mistake his words as one coming from an authority figure. Skip should have said that's not his place to speculate one. He can have all the opinions he wants privately, but its a pretty bush league move to talk to the media about it.

if Miles hasn't come out and said Hill isn't coming back, then it still isn't Skip's place to talk about things he's gotten via private conversations.

This x 1000.

It would have been real easy for Skip to simply say, "coach Miles will make his decision at the appropriate time" and leave it at that.

The way Les is playing this is the best course for Miles. Les lets the judicial system make the decisions. It's really the proper way to handle it. Hill gets revoked he's gone without a miles decision. He doesn't get revoked, he gets a few games suspension plus he's been suspended since incidence.
Perfect way to handle it.

So Skip throwing his opinion out pre-emptively = getting kicked off the team. Got it.
