Miles would not let Canada run his offense.

The AD just had to have meeting because the current head coach won't either.

Oh and btw, we've watched this type of offense, run rt, run left, run up the middle and then punt. All while doing it in hurry up. It has been worse, way worse.

No one seriously wants Miles as AD right? He couldn't handle one program

huh?

he had one of the most accomplished tenures in sec history. if thats considered,"not being able to handle a program" the every lsu coach ever couldn't handle a program.

Gee if Miles was and is so great why can't he find a coaching job which there is one open as OLine coach at his olde almamater, Mich ,where he could go run,run and run crazy

Although Mich sent a Mich jet to BR a few years back they don't even want him there

I have this fantasy that F. King will get on the PA at the start of the second half and say “Seeing the 2007 National Champions made me realize the poor direction of our Athletic Department. Therefore, at halftime I fired Joe Alleva and Ed Orgeron. Les Miles is your new full time head coach!”

because the average age of a p5 head coach is 44 and miles is 63.
its also been 1 offseason since his firing.
an offseason so void of decent head coaching jobs that one of the most coveted OC's( lane kiffen) had to settle for the FAU job.

Seriously?

Forget for a second that you apparently hate the man. Forget his name, or that he was coach at LSU.

And just consider:

a man, very near retirement age, spent 10+ years at a major program. He was the winningest coach in said program's history, he won multiple conference titles, he won a national title, played for another, never had a losing season.
Another program in his conference, historically one of the top programs in college football history, surpassed him. And for this, the fans and administration soured on him. He was fired, not quickly, but in a drawn out affair taking many months, before he was unceremoniously dumped.
He's due to receive $4 mil a year for several years.

You begrudge this man for taking a little time to decompress, spend time with the wife and kids, cut the grass etc, and figure out what his next move is?

There's plenty of talk Bob Stoops is gone coaching too, and his end wasn't as rough.

It was past time for Elmer Fudd to leave and too early to objectively judge the O hire.

All I know is if Miles turned him down then LSU wouldn't have to pay the remainder of his buyout

Win win for LSU

Who in the hell fires a coach who over a span of 11 years have ZERO losing seasons..in fact, his worse are 2 seasons where he went (8-5), 6 10+ winning seasons, 2 conference championships, 1 National title, another trip to the National title game, bowl record of 7-4, and coming off a 9-3 season with a bowl win the year before he was fired...and was fired 4 games into the season for losing 2 CLOSE games on the road-one to a to a Wisconsin team that went 11-3 and won their division? Really? That's a bad coaching record? Yeah, I would say with that record, he had to go! So....quit the BS about wanting Miles back-many fans got what they wanted so live with it!!!
