You've got to be a lawyer. Every one of your posts reads like a closing argument to a jury.....

quote:

I missed by 3 on Mathis and four overall for the team, and you act like I missed by 50.
You "missed" by more than 100%.

I agree, our catchers (and pitchers) are struggling preventing stolen bases this season but there's no reason to exaggerate their difficulty (or place all the blame on the catchers) by posting numbers that are wrong by a factor of 100%.

Maybe your ego needs that kind of stroking so you can feel better about your own failings.

Mathis and Hughes are major liabilities at the plate. These are simple facts.

No one is going to see a decent, hittable pitch with Hughes and Mathis nearby in the batting order
I love these kind of posts.

Last night Cade Beloso batted just ahead of Hughes and Mathis in the batting order and he went 3 for 5 with 3 RBI and no walks.

The crazy thing about Feduccia was the way he started off. Early on that Kid had a Cannon and was throwing people out by 20'. By the end of the year he was Terrible!

Again, someone answer, what is mathis’ pop time, until we have that, discussing his percentage of catching runners stealing is irrelevant

Can’t be an automatic out at this level of competition. Bottom part of the order is atrocious. Need to recruit smarter

Kid is also hitting .269. Tell the whole story, Putin.

When it comes to the stolen bases against, yeah, a lot of blame falls on the pitchers

Then when are we going to decide to address it with the pitching staff?

You are worse than Pravda with your misinformation. Go back to Russia. And McFarland is hitting .280 now. What's Mathis' average?

We've thrown out 8 attempted base stealers so far this season, not "3 or 4."

h, you sure got me. Without looking it up like you did, I missed by a whole four. And, after looking it up just now, Mathis is responsible for 7.

Does that really change the point? Is 7-59 a remotely acceptable number to you? It sure isn't to me.

Are you sure about that? Throws to 2nd base...I can only remember 1 and the only game is missed was away at Southern.

So when you post that another team's catcher hit a home run against us and then say 'why can't we find a catcher who can do that' and I post the stats that our catcher has the same number of homeruns as the other team's catcher you're praising, that's what you call "misinformation"??

Nah, I'm persona non grata there now.

Sick of seeing all the negativity about this kid. Dude is playing his heart out, getting beat up every game. So what if his batting average is low. Who remembers all the pass balls last year? He’s all we got, Gara obviously isn’t ready.

Yes Mathis is giving it his all, but unfortunately sometimes your all isn’t good enough. Just because a player is giving it his all doesn’t mean they are immune from criticism when it’s deserved, and brother ithe criticism of his current play well deserved!!!!

Loom catcher is the hardest position to play on the field, but the catcher still has to perform! The standard assessment of a catcher is if he doesn’t contribute at the plate “and unfortunately Mathis has been woeful to put it mildly” then he better be a beast behind the plate! And he performance defensively has not in anyway made up for his lack of offensive output!!!!

And this is coming from a parent whose kid made the 15U Team USA as a catcher!

Those balls last night were not passed balls. They were wild pitches credited to Pitcher and not a passed ball to catcher. A few could’ve been blocked of course.

Nobody is accusing Mathis of not "playing hard" or not being "A true Tiger".

This is big boy baseball at this level either you produce or they find someone who can so sorry if this hurts your feelings.

You can blame the coaches as well. LSU should have someone on their team who can play better if not then this is mostly on them as well.
