Only a handful of folks gave us a chance in this game...O is on the hot seat...we will finish 5th in the West, etc, etc! Now that we solidly beat the #8 team, Miami is now overrated, not as good, coach sucks, etc! We never get our credit. Fournette had a monster year, leading in the Heisman trophy votes all year long, and he had one game where Alabama shuts down our offense, and now he was out of it...How?
I digress. Our boys played a great game! I do know that this was only one game and O may still finish on said hot seat, and we may or may not finish the year off well, but give credit where and when credit is due...that’s all I ask!

Last night’s results are all that matter. The media loons have taken note. After we beat Auburn, it’s on.

The Fournette thing still pisses me off....to go from so far in front to out of it based on 1 game is complete BS.....almost as bad a Woodson over Manning

Calm down buddy. Both are true

Miami is good but last years 3 losses were the reality for Miami. Rosier is all hype propped up by great receivers.

LSU is good. Very good. but week 3 at Auburn will tell us what this season will look like. A win or even a close loss and a major New Year’s Day bowl is our floor.

The lack of respect is great for Burrow and the boys. They play with a huge chip! We the fans hate the disrespect, BUT it's good reverse psych.

Why are you hung up on someone else's opinion?

Go 11-1 or better and everything will take care of itself.

Go 7-5 or worse and everything will take care of itself as well.

Off to a good start.

It's always been that way, will always be that way. I hate to say it, but it's true. The only respect LSU ever gets is what the team does on the field, and even then, they get very little respect. When I was in the USAF I'd hear all types of disrespectful remarks from fans of teams like Oregon, Washington, USC, Alabama etc. LSU just needs to get back to competing for NC's and shut mouths. People can say what they want, but they can't argue with wins.

We want respect, we have to earn it.

Last night was a big step in the right direction.

This is when I stopped caring about who wins the Heisman, Fournette wasn't even invited and had better stats than the bammer RB who won while playing one less game.

The Heisman is bullshite... Atleast in the last decade...

I’m good with being underrated, for some reason we always play better when picked to lose. Just need to keep Corso away from that damn tiger head that thing is a curse for us.

I suppose I'll be the one to say what no one else will. Last night was a classic Les Miles type game. Special teams, defense get you amazing field position and then, after going up 27 to 3 at half, or 30 to 3 whatever it was... you come out and play like a softy.

The score was great. The offense struggled their arse off... bad. We will find out in two weeks what we are all about.

Our own fans didn’t respect us. Why should anyone else?

This team truly has to have the “us against the world” mentality, even with our own fans this year. Unfortunate.

That's the way I see it as well. Defense and special teams did the heavy lifting and the offense did just enough to get the job done.

If ABC hadn't have shown o on the sidelines, and if a person didn't follow LSU football, you'd never know that it wasn't Miles standing on the sideline calling the shots.

Two different coaches, exact same results.

6.5 million watched the game last night....if we keep winning...the respect will return....if it hasn’t already....

We’ll find out when the polls come out....
