I'm not pretending anything. Personally, I don't know what LF7's injury status is and neither do you. So you stop pretending like you know anything at all.

Has LF7 been injured most of the year? Yes he has. Is he too injured to play? I have no idea and at this point it doesn't matter.

I was addressing the original OP saying LF7 is being trashed by the media and gave the reason why I think this is happening. No one is trashing Peppers because of the optics of what he did. Sadly, that is what matters and LF7 hasn't helped himself with his social media posts.

You need to get over yourself and the high opinion you have of yourself.

OH, you could be right.

But I think guys like Cook will show that playing makes a difference.

NFL is not fronting money to kids that are not proven. Especially at the RB position.

Elliott has most carries and is an outlier in the NFL by having success and being worthy as an early pick.

A guy like Cook could really have helped himself tonight.

Lsu fans and administration owe him respect

7 screwed humself by signing with an agent. It was a bad or move. He could have just said he was injured and he wouldn't be taking the heat.

You Tigerdroppings posters never cease to amaze me with your stupidity. You all have no idea if Leonard Fournette is hurt, but you think he is faking it. You turn your back on him now that he is finished playing. Some idiot thinks jabrill Peppers is not really. Your spurts bar hero theories are on display

I've been on both sides of this, but primarily the signing with agent could have waited until after the bowl. I respect Kevin Faulk's way more, but I'm old school, so there's that.

On the flip side, sure am going to miss watching that guy run the football when he was on...except for Bama and one Arky game. Truly phenomenal athlete.

I think he will be roasted by the scouts for his decision to not wait and sign with an agent later. By doing that, he wasn't with his team! I'm sorry, I don't respect that at all!

Lol, Fournette has basically the exact same total yards and YPC as Elliott in a tougher conference. Where on earth do you get that he is not proven? Because he isn't playing the Citrus Bowl? You honestly think Dalvin Cook gets drafted any higher because of tonight? My lorfd.

You can be a fan of quitting and selling out your teammates if you want. I want a guy who travels and supports the players that helped get him to the NFL draft.

You (and everyone else) have no idea what's really going on behind the scenes.. none

To judge someone without knowing the whole situation is unfair.. I can't believe we've gotten to the point where it's ok to bash someone like fournette.. tigerdroppings can have a lynchmob mentality sometimes

However, I find it interesting he was NOT going to play against Florida until he felt disrespected and asked to go. If he were good enough to go after getting fired up with the pregame crap, he should have been a go to begin with.

Did you see how he looked in that game? He played hurt, and they let him play hurt. Fournette dominated Florida to the tune of 320 yards and 4 TDs averaging 5.5 ypc over the last 2 years. Florida's run defense this year was worse than the previous 2 years. A healthy Fournette destroys them.

I bet after he got hurt in that game, again, he had a bunch of people telling him he needs to shut it down before he does serious damage.

quote:

I understand what he is doing, but I think this is more avoiding injury than it is him actually being hurt. He is putting his draft status ahead of his teammates and I don't know how I feel about that. The chances of a Jaylon Smith blowout are extremely slim. I want a ride or die player on my team like Myles Garrett- who has been hurt all year and played through it, even the meaningless bowl game.

Myles Garrett also missed 2 games, and I don't know what the extent of his injury is to even play in that crap bowl game. We do know that Fournette has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and those can linger for a long time.

But of course you don't care. His use as entertainment for you is over, so you move on to the next.

He had 2 weeks of rest and then had a monster game against Ole Miss. He hasn't played in over a month and decided to sign with an agent in the meantime. To anyone outside of the program, I can see how it might appear that Fournette might be letting his team down.

He didn't look like himself against Ole Miss. He looked even less like himself against Florida but pride got to him and he played. Look at him last year and this year and it's clear he was not healthy and the more he played on that ankle the worse it got. Wouldn't heal until he stopped playing for prolonged period of time.

What I do know is that he chose not to be with his teammates and sign with an agent so he could get a hefty loan. He could have traveled with the team to support them but he is not. You can't defend that FACT and call him a team player.

All things being equal, not sure how anyone saying Fournette not playing is going to be a wise decision versus Cook playing

Are you retarded? It is a wise decision.

- FSU is playing in a NY6 bowl game, LSU is playing in a crap bowl game.

- Cook is healthy, Fournette has played on a bum ankle all year

- Each RB had already done enough to seal their 1st round picks.

Fournette never shied away from playing against good teams. Smart people will look at what he did vs Wisconsin and Auburn, the only top 30 rush defenses besides Bama that we played this year. They will also look at his previous 2 years, and see that his value is that of a top 10 pick, and possibly #1 overall if he was 100% healthy in an older era.

Now if Fournette had played and suffered a serious injury being already injuried, it could be the difference in millions of up front money. A big second contract is not promised like the money he will most likely get now.

quote:

If I'm a GM, I'm chuckling at the guy going early for Fournette when Cook is on the board later. Definitely not saying Cook and Fournette are equal in a vacuum, but little things like actually playing football at a high level in a big game when your team is playing says something to me.

If you were a GM, you'd have a terrible team. You can't have the mindset of a fan and run a pro organization. GMs don't give a shite if he plays or not. Most that want him were probably glad Fournette didn't play. Only fans and media think the way you do on the subject.
