Stingley is the best DB in collage sense Dion Sanders, Patrick Peterson never impressed me, Morris Claiborne never impressed me, this kid is real.

Good to see someone has collage sense on this board. Thanks, Jax Beer!

Grant Delpit on Derek Stingley: "He’s a beast. He’s a monster. He’s already in 1 on1 s, locking up receivers every day. I tell him, he’s way ahead of where I was as a freshman when I came in. He’s way advanced. His mind’s advanced. He’s a great player already."

I remember Delpit's freshman year. At the beginning of the season he was solid in coverage but was weak in run support. His run support improved greatly by the end of the season.

not to be "that guy", but this sorta tells me where our WRs are, if a 17 year old, true freshman with Similac still on his breath, can "lock down" our WRs, who have been on campus, in the program, for at least 1 season already....

Similac says you are in fact that guy.

Do we think John Emery will get the same praise at running back?

The kid only allowed like 2 reception s his entire career in highschool. Has more interceptions than targets...

Well... John emery is good. Most likely better than any back on our team. But he is just another 5* RB. Not saying he doesn't turn out to be the best RB we have ever had. But for now he is just a very good RB. He isn't at LF7 or APs, level coming out of high school. So that's why there isn't so much hype. Stingley is QUITE LITERALLY the highest rated CB ever since recruiting rankings became a thing. Stingley is literally coming out of high school as not the next Patrick Peterson, but the guy who is expected to be BETTER than PP7... THATS THE DIFFERENCE!

hey, look... i sincerely do HOPE its because he's that good, and not that our WRs are that bad... i'm optimistic that that is the case, but you do have to hold consideration for my postulation... it IS a possibility, that none of want, obviously....
