Shouldn't Burrow be way ahead of these other QB's?

With him being labelled the savior, shouldn't he at least beat out the three QB's we all saw botch the spring game??

Yes, he should, and he will.

O doesn't want to "tip his hand," but he tipped it when he said, "obviously Burrow is experienced out there."

Don't let 7 of 13 fool you. Offensive line sucked today. Besides, we don't know the SITUATIONS. We do know Burrow is the guy.

Not at this point I don't think because the other guys have had twice the amount of practice time, at least, with the offense.

But if he's as good as advertised (some on here were predicting two Heisman's, he should be miles ahead of the others. I don't care how many practices it has been.

Not that it needs saying again....but Burrow is the QB. OL got worked a good bit....some of it they need to get straight...much of it is our front 7. They are going to make quite a few OL’s look bad. Lot of the plays were situational, so stats are half assed and deceiving.

He should have thrown six tds today and gone 28-26. No, that’s not a typo. He should have completed
More passes than he threw because he’s that good.

Did you expect a starter to be named after 1 week of practice?

He probably is "miles ahead of the others," but remember O doesn't wanna tip his hand. Stop falling victim to stats. Think COMMANDING THE OFFENSE.

He only got 13 of the 50 passing plays, which was O and E decision to keep equality. How do you expect him to complete 26 in 13 tries? Further, how do you expect any real rhythm?

Burrow will be the guy to be thrown to the wolves.

He'll, I could have posted that cap, and I wasn't at the scrimmage.

Any chance your buddy told you WHY Burrow is the guy? Yes, stats can be deceiving, but he didn't set the world on fire either.

I believe this. However one report from Sonny at 247 is that Burrow ran mostly with the 3’s and 4’s.

Coachspeak is one thing but our projected starter needs quality and consistent reps with the 1’s moving forward.

Good info, thank you. And I agree Burrow should start getting the majority of the reps with the 1's. I believe O and E know that.

He's behind on learning the playbook, adjusting to new coaches/teammates and also building chemistry with the receivers. That stuff takes time no matter how talented someone is. The other players have a huge jump on Burrow in that regard.

Is our front 7 better than Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Moo St? If not, it could be a problem. Granted it's early.

Did you witness the practice? He may be ahead.
Not many QBs can be accurate when under pressure.
Maybe the OL will improve prior to the next practice and we can get a better feel for the situation.
