Between 11 and 3, before louisiana loses power... wonder why they didn’t discuss that.

To clarify, still at Mizzou

Uh.. O wanted 11AM for more rest. Well this would’ve been even better for that plus the fanbase could have had something to take their minds off of what’s coming.

Because, thankfully, people smarter than you are making the decisions.

Take a long weekend. There’s a hurricane coming and you should be working from home anyway.

Well, let’s start with just the optics of the situation. You have a life threatening situation barreling towards a part of the state, who had already gotten hammered a few weeks ago, but let’s squeeze this game in!

Logistics. Even though it wouldn’t be a full house, you would still potentially have people on the roads when others are trying to evacuate. The game also would take important first responders away from other situations, as they would have to be at the game.

Mindset. Do you think the players want to play a game this way? One that is thrown together, a day early, and with so much else going on? Especially for those guys that are from SW LA.

TV. Would ESPN have been able to allocate people?

Mizzou. Think they’d want to play in this situation? frick no.

Florida. Lastly, let’s not be UF and demand shite when others are also impacted.

Does this help you see why your idea is not a good one? I’m guessing you will say no and dig your heels in, but that will show more about you...so do as you must.

You want to hold a sporting event (even with reduced attendance) on the eve of a hurricane when every available resource should be focused on, ya know, THE HURRICANE?

Because pushing a game up results in less recovery time, and speeds up preparation time of all staffs involved. Not to mention less time for equipment staffs to get rear PLUS you are now having Missouri driving home in the heart of a hurricane.

By moving to Missouri you now get everyone involved out the way of the hurricane all together.

That doesn't really make your suggestion more palatable. What is the benefit for the players, the fans or TV for playing today?

Read the rest of my post. Also how you have the team driving south either Friday night or Saturday morning. Still in the heart of the hurricane.

More rest for LSU before the make or break game of the season, and for Mizzou before their first winnable game.

Fans get to actually watch live because we’d still have power.

TV gets ratings because of the above.
