With Eades looking shakey the pass couple games do you think it would be better to pitch him against OU ace?

Gray really is not as good as people are making him out to be.[/quote]

And how would you come to that conclusion? Is it maybe his ERA under 2 or his 130 K's or maybe his sick arse slider that made you think that!

Nola will pitch the first game. Get that first win and put the pressure on the other team.

I think it would be a great idea!Nola would pitch game 2 and Glenn would pitch game 3 and even though it may go 3 we would move on!

(No)la will mow the Sooners down. Their offense is only average and that's coming against far weaker competition than LSU has faced. Same goes for the pitching. LSU will score against Gray. Nola will overmatch their hitters. Win game one and put the pressure on them.

not another "let's pitch our worst pitcher against their best pitcher thread". this is almost too much to bear.

That's what other teams do when they face LSU.

No. That's a pussified move and shows LSU is afraid of this guy. We're LSU why in the frick should we be afraid to lose this game? They're coming into our house. We've been historically pretty damn good against most aces too. It sends a terrible message to your team and shows you have no confidence in them.

Nola vs Gray is not a toss up. It's a superstar pitcher backed up by one of the best fielding teams in the country and supported by one of the best hitting teams in the country against a great pitcher on a mediocre team who looks better than he really is due to playing in a shite conference. We are better than Oklahoma at every aspect of the game of baseball, and no matter who starts game 1, OU will have to be lucky to force a game 3.

OU looked better than us in their regional. Just because they went on a bad run at the end of the season doesn't mean much. They could've just heated up at the right point. I guess people have short memories. Anyone remember Fresno a few years back? That team wasn't even good until they hit regional play.

That's baseball. But yes, LSU is definitely more talented if they bring their A game. Better play better than our regional because we were sloppy on defense.

No, Gray just made national news for test positive for a banned substance. Do you think he might have that on his mind? Pitch our best against their best. When we win that how do you think that will affect their heads.

Yes, I agree. See 09 CWS. We threw AR instead of AR, so we saved our second ace for the last game and conceeded the second game against Youngmann. I like to start Eades and then come back with Nola on Saturday then Glenn on Sunday.

LSU will be victorious on Friday night. Nola will make Gray his betch. The Big 12 is not nearly as talented as the SEC. Nola threw 4 complete games in a row, against SEC opponents, 2 of which were shut outs.

People need to quit being scared of Gray and realize Nola is way better than him.

That had more to do with Ranaudo pitching on 3 days rest if he started Game 2.
