Since 2000... LSU has 9 wins to 8 losses against Alabama so which year are you referring to?

Recruit better ( which seems to be happening) or change the offense ( not happening). You can't play big 10 smash mouth when you don't have as much talent up front.

My point was they were saying the same thing not long ago. Get over the Alabama fetish.

I think Les had only 3 W vs Saban

And the only coach to do better vs Saban is Urban Meyer, who is 2-2 vs Saban.

Saban is 99-18 at Alabama and 6 of those loses came in his first year there. He rarely loses. And nobody consistently beats Saban.

Yep. We lost to alabama and the Bear for 12 straight seasons from 1970-1981. Bama has beaten us twice as many times as we've beaten them. This is nothing new. We are now and always will be second fiddle to them. We are already used to this.

. In all honesty it sure doesn't seem like it.

Let's take a moment and be rational here... even before Saban came to LSU he was being touted as some type of wunderkind coach. We all heard the spiel when we skulldrug his Michigan State team in the Indy Bowl. He's lived up to that.

Various schools are at various levels, and while some may slide up and down, things stay pretty much the same over a period of time. LSU is a good program, historically one of the top 15 or so. We are not the top SEC school, that is Alabama. We are not at an even level like, say, Ohio State and Michigan, or Oklahoma/Nebraska in the old Big 8. We, like Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee, are historically at the next tier. We pushed up to the top for awhile, much like Florida did in the 90's. Florida, btw, has now leveled off at the next tier, with us.

So you put maybe the best coach of the current millennium at the top program in the conference, and you are shocked that he is beating everyone (not just us)? Offended that we aren't winning more often? Get a little realistic.

I'm not saying give up, but c'mon now, Saban has that crimson machine rolling. And it's not like Miles has been terrible, he's got the best record in school history, he has a national title, he won the conference with an undefeated regular season in the midst of Saban's run. He's still got the team lined up for maybe a 10-1 season this year.
"Arrrrgh that's loser talk, win it all or start over" etc.. firing Miles will not affect Saban in any way, other than likely open up the state to even more recruiting raids. It will, however, very likely lead to us sliding back in the pack, of we botch things. Tennessee (which had a good run too) totally imploded because they weren't winning "enough", and we haven't seen them be relevant in a decade. Florida and Auburn have both gone through a lot of up and down seasons once they moved on. I don't want to trade places with Auburn.

The thing that is truly frustrating about LSU vs bsma is in most cases we lose in spite of having very similar talent and very evident potential. Yet we manage to blow it every time. If we were clearly outmanned each time it wouldn't be as frustrating, but we aren't. We can see it within our grasp but our bad fortune and more often poor coaching/scheming gets in the way.

Sorta like when LSU started the first decade of the 2000's 7-1 against the Skoal Drool Things, including that familiar "5 straight" from 2003-07..??????

The games here in BR in 2012 and 2014 were closer, but things happened. We should have won 2012, but they drove late.

last season I think they might have overlooked us a little, but that damn penalty to set up 2nd and goal from the 20... that was unbelievable. If that doesn't happen, we punch it in, and win.

I don't think last night's game will crush the team like last year's did. I think it will sting, and make them embarrassed and angry. I think Fournette will explode against Arkansas, and unless he fumbles while trying to do too much, might just win his Heisman.

He's probably not going to be a fun man this week.

we are charlie brown & bama is lucy. Whenever we think we can do it - they pull the ball away and we fall flat on our arse! Drove 14 hrs to sit in the dome on 1/9/12 and watch that debacle....since then i have little faith in miles to win a big game/bowl game
