At this point in the season I think we should.

It would give Nuss a chance to come out of the game and get coached up for the following series.

Also it could help us establish the run and change the pace of the game.

I have a dream that one day, this board will learn the difference between RPO and read option.

I think he could hit the Tight end or the back in the flats. He’s literally the best QB in the history of Louisiana highschool football.

So why wasn’t he recruited as a quarterback? This is like saying we should have had packages for Jontre Kirklin as QB in 2021

Any scenario where Nuss comes out for a bit would be a positive

Just thinking out loud. We did a direct snap to JJ on Saturday.

Chicken should pin a definition to the top of the board.

RPO = run/pass option. Meaning the Quarterback can hand off the run play with run blocking in front of it OR pull the ball and throw a quick game pass before linemen get downfield.

Read Option = Quarterback OPTION football. Read, veer, midline, power, counter read etc. where the Quarterback is the secondary run threat.

I started a thread about this after A&M game.

Glad to see him get a couple touches & designed plays in Bama game, but he could be a weapon as a wildcat package we use to get the run game going

Well it seems we have so many packages that the defenses can narrow down to one the number of different plays we can run based on package and alignment. I say we have a first string and a second string and teach them how to run all the plays.

He gets coached up every play. He literally has Sloan’s voice in his ear for 25 seconds before every snap.

Ju’Juan Johnson looks pretty impressive with the ball in space but he was never going to be a feature player in the offense this year. He’s a safety net because one RB got arrested and another tore his ACL.

Personally, I think we are already 1 dimensional enough. Just adding an RB at QB does not help that. If nothing else, they should use a heavy package with 2-3 tight ends and run twice and throw once out of that formation a few drives per game.

We’re low on TE’s that can block

From game 1, I've been saying give Ricky Collins a package in the Red Zone. It doesn't have to be every red zone series.

It's obvious Nussmeier is horrific in the Red Zone. He can't/doesn't run so the defense just contains the pass to Green or Williams running up DJ Chester's butt, then Ramos trots onto the field.

We could easily have been tied 14 - 14 instead of 14 - 6 in the Bama game.

He was a High School QB, but I don't think I would like him throwing in college, unless there is only one pass option that the WR or TE is 100 percent open.

I wouldn't want him going through his progressions.

That probably would have worked better in some instances than watching Brad’s boy throw the ball backwards while getting sacked.
