Should We Cool it with the Baseball Threads?

We are in the middle of basketball season and this team is getting on a roll. It seems like the LSU fanbase is really starting to rally around this team, and we shouldn't deter that with threads about baseball.
Baseball season doesn't start for another couple of weeks, and SEC play doesn't start until mid March.
Nationally, college basketball is a way bigger and more relevant sport than college baseball. You see college basketball highlights on sportscenter each night during the regular season and only see college baseball highlights on during the College World Series.
Let's hold off on the baseball talk and focus on this basketball team.

Since college baseball gets maybe 1% of the attention that college basketball does, I'd say a middle of the pack LSU basketball team is more relevant than a #1 LSU baseball team. And I'm not slamming LSU baseball, but nobody outside the SEC and a few random schools on the West Coast even know college baseball exists.

People can care about the sports they want to care about. As long as they are cheering for LSU it is all good to me. I just personally could not be really into baseball a month before it started while in the middle of basketball season.
The real question is: Why are so many talking about football? The season is 7 months away, and there are only 13 games a year.

I agree. The LSU vs. Kentucky game will get more national attention than anything the baseball team does all year outside of win the CWS.
ETA: this isn't a slam on baseball. I enjoy both sports/teams. It's just the truth
