Yes.

1. There is no sense in risking another injury to Daniels over the Citrus Bowl. Let him sit out and heal.

2. Give Nuss a chance to see what he can do for 4 quarters. This is a perfect opportunity for him.

Daniels will likely NOT go to the NFL. So there will still be a competition. Let the O-line performance be the deciding factor again. No opposition defense is going to let Daniels do anything but throw it…..from now on.

People have zero idea how he will look with a full game from the start where we can run our entire offense.

Do you know who has a better idea? The coaches.

Yes, let Nuss play and Daniels rest. See what he can do with 60 minutes under his belt.

Everyone that tries to use Nuss’s first start against him is moronic.

Yeah, but same goes for 1 half of a game where you are forced into a pass heavy score quickly game plan. Nuss looked good against ole miss last year, then came in and looked bad against Arkansas. Nuss has only looked good when we are down by a lot and need to throw every down. Which is infrequently the position the team will be in. He has struggled when possession is important. Which is why JD was the starter.

Kelly stayed JD5 needed about 10 days to heal…the game is almost a month away. Daniels will get the start

Losing Nussmeier without ever really seeing him get a real shot would be painful.

He had a shot didn't he and made a "business decision".

Absolutely. The season is over lets see what Nuss has in a full game, we know what we have with JD.

Absolutely. If nothing else it keeps him on the roster at least until spring

I hope the coaches aren't as disingenuous as the rant

How hurt can he be? I saw him cutting up with the players on the side lines. No boot, crutch and walking around. Kid from USC played the whole second half on a bad wheel against Utah.

I would rather Nuss over a healthy JD anyhow.

If Daniels is hurt or declares for the draft and sits out, yea. Otherwise no, zero chance he will start

Lester why don’t go ahead and let Daniels start paying your mortgage and dropping your kids off at school while you’re at it

With Daniels being able to barely even walk I think you ask him to go ahead and move forward with surgery or whatever recovery process is needed.

Daniels should not risk a greater long term injury to play in a non-payoff bowl game. This is an easy call. You get the backup ready, and his backup too. Treat this as the beginning of spring practice.
