shite I don't know. Herb was actually third string. Melvin Hill came in and was a deer in headlights. But Howard was doing pretty well given it was Dinardo's first year

Absolutely not. Jamie was a much better than average QB that was injured. Think Herb would have been the better choice against KY, but that is history. Herb got his time & the FL win is one of my favorites of all time.

And after that terrible first half, why not start Herb in the second half?
