Should Aranda just abandon zone defense for the rest of the season?

Vincent is going to continue to get picked on. We look terrible at times in zone with some awful busts. I just don’t see an advantage at this point in continuing to play zone.

Yes

With zero pass rush, that will work out greatly

There are no perfect options. I guess the question is, which risks are the ones you’re more comfortable taking?

We certainly need to change something in the secondary! So far doesn't look like DBU!!!

No. It has worked in spots. Mix it up.

The risk doesn’t remove a defense scheme that helps that lack of pass rush that LSU currently has

We should mix in zone but it definitely shouldn’t be the base. We have fared well in man to man with 5 or 6 rushing the QB.

The lack of DL talent and depth he has to work with is very concerning

This is where I am, but I know you can’t get predictable either. That’s why Aranda is paid the big money and I’m not lol...with that said, I don’t think zone should ever be used except when absolutely necessary to change things up.

no. there is a time and place to play zone. also combo coverages man/zone combined.

we will need a ton of man blitzes against bama tho if not they will kill us underneath with tons of YAC. jam at line and make them get off and behind us for a big gain or nothing at all.

Our LBs get exposed in man coverage.

Our secondary gets picked apart during zone

We get no pass rush with either one of them.

This is the biggest head scratcher to me. I know we didn’t have him this game, but how the hell are we not getting any pass rush with KC? He was against a brick wall playing UT and made their guy look like an AA (holds or not).

I still don’t think moving forward that we should assume there will be no pass rush.

We MUST develop a pass rush...#1 priority.

Our Lbs are pretty good at getting pressure. Let's just take them out of zone and put on different types of blitzes and man up.

Doesn't matter what you do if Kary Vincent is out there constantly getting burned.

Let's get the D back at full strength. We haven't seen the best they will be yet.

With QBs like Mond and Tua? No, you have to be facing the play.

We have the exact same DL as last year. Our DL didn’t get pressure last year. Not sure why we thought that would drastically change this year. Hopefully Chaisson turns it on as the season progresses because we need SOMEONE to get in the QBs face at some point

We aren’t doing much better in man and with no pass rush man coverage will look even worse.
