Absolute ballers who showed up all game.
Pickett was lockdown all game
Jhase Thomas was a stud who covered well and tackled in space
Benefield seamlessly transitioned to that star war
Sucks these 3 were wasted by a DC who loses his balls in critical moments

We have 2 cb’s that excel in man coverage, but Baker decides to play zone 75% of the time.
It makes some sense against a running QB, but Mincey isn’t a runner.

Blake Baker!
He got extremely conservative with coverage calls. 7-8 yards off the receivers. He out them in a bad spot.
Minchey literally looked like Chambliss moving up the field before halftime of the Ole Miss game. He took what the coverage gave him.

Every secondary gets abused playing 10 yards off the ball in zone coverage when their pass rush doesn’t get there what a stupid take let’s blame the players for baker’s shitty play call and resolve him of any accountability

Hell I saw Cooley make at least one incredibly clean PBU in the endzone

Why DC’s call this when only up 1 score is beyond infuriating to me. Since the mid 2000’s qb’s, wr’s, and offenses in general have gotten so proficient at running lightning quick 7-12 yard routes, completing them, and then lining up in under 10 seconds during a 2 minute drill. This isn’t the 80’s and 90’s any more where the qbs are happy to be completing >55% of their throws and the receivers only run go, post, or deep dig routes.
Every team can execute a quick passing game and march down the field in under 45 seconds if given soft zone coverage.

His only good coverage play of the game and that was because the qb over threw it. The wr had him beat to the inside
