I heard this on Moscona this afternoon. Maybe I'm just naive, but it seems like if this was true, all kinds of players would do this. And I'm fairly certain this would be against NFL rules.

Everything in Sheps mind is betting on the future. Switched to WR as a sophomore best move ever. Junior year just get me the ball. Senior year leadership was important Les promises his role will increase. Pre draft he has interest from many NFL teams.

He said if he caught 20 passes he would have went a lot higher in the draft...

I wish Shep well though. He knows his career could have been much different...

He should still speak as little about as possible though..

It sounds absolutely retarded. If it is true, doesn't it mean that he took less money by being impatient?

And like you said, I would think it would be against league rules but I guess we could be wrong.

I love Shep but my god he's fooling himself. There's no way in hell this kid could throw the damn football, he thru ducks constantly. But it still pisses me off that we didn't use his skills in a more consistent way.

He won't even make the Eagles final roster.

I was listening to this too. No way this is legit. That's got to be against the rules. Russell came off awfully arrogant for a UDFA.

I still say he never sees a meaningful down in the NFL.

I really can't stand Shepard.

Heard him today on Moscona as well, and listening to the interview, you would have thought he had been picked in the 1st round by the eagles and Moscona was sucking him off like none other.

The dude is all bark and no bite.

Good Riddance

I think Les is a better coach than Chip. But I do think Les "MAY" have misused Shep.

Not if shep catches one pass in the nfl. He then mafe the rt decision. Shep wanted to play in the nfl. Wr is his best shot. Hes not the fastest or biggest, he will need to work his butt off.

Shep will never make an NFL roster. Just doesn't have the skills. The Shep-love on this board is truly over the top. The guy just isn't an elite football player. Did anyone watch him the last 4 years. No hands, no juke-ability. Only straight-line speed, white many guys have (and actually I don't think his 40-time was that great). Zero chance he ever makes an NFL roster.

Holy shite what a fricking liar???
Hope he gets the Eagles in trouble with the NFLPA for this.

I always thought he was a great ambassador for LSU, even though he just didn't have the skills to be a consistent SEC threat, but his vendetta to blame Coach Miles for his shortcomings as a football player is just pathetic at this point. Great athletes don't always make great football players, and I'm not even convinced he's a great athlete.

Kid has turned into a pathological liar or is just delusional at this point.

If any of that stuff is true it confirms my feeling that chip Kelly will be a utter failure in the nfl

This is probably right. Shep would be preparing for his 6th NCAA season after hardship waiver and would likely be the starting QB at Oregon.

I believe if Shep had gone to a different school he maybe could have played QB but it wouldn't have done him any good. He is not a NFL QB and won't make it the NFL as a WR he couldn't catch the ball for shite.

I know kids have dreams of being the QB and playing in the NFL but sometime they need to listen to the coach and give up on that dream and put all you got in another position. Shep really screwed himself.

Look at Tebow, sure he had a great college career but they don't pay worth a damn in college. If he had swapped to TE or FB he might could have had a great career in the NFL

Because Chip Kelly has seen Shep throw the ball so many times. What a dumb statement.
