I just looked up his high school stats during his senior year. He rushed for 1946 yds. (7.6 yds. per carry) & 28 TDs / He passed for 1843 yds. (55% comp) with 20 TDs & only 4 ints. Plus
he's taller than Drew Bress. Doesn't that deserve a shot at QB given the alternatives?

He will get his chance AGAIN eventually.
You do know that he asked the coaches to move him to WR last year due to the learning curve and qb and his want for playing time?

Yeah I think he deserves a shot...but he probably got one last season during practice. You cant compare the guy to Drew Brees just bc RS is a little taller. Sure he was unbelievable in high school, but he obviously doesnt have the accuracy or awareness of brees.

And they had a chance to say hell no, you're better than the other two QBs we have on the field who we are scared to let do anything -- even throwing it on 3rd and 8.

Sure - you really believe that with the way our manure of an OC and head coach make decisions.

SEC is totally different, I had about same completion % and over 1000 yards throwing in high school and I wasn't very good. I wouldn't read much into those stats.

Rueben Randle passed for 2500 yds. his senior year (60% comp) 20 TDs 9 Ints - He's 6'3 (or more) - TRY HIM!

Randle does seem to be a better shot at QB.

All we ranters can evaluate is the games, and we all can tell that Jefferson and Lee fail to play up to the level expected of most SEC QBs. So we all naturally wonder, could there be someone else on the roster (or stands) who might be up to the task?

Of course, we wonder, but we don't know.

JackSimmons you hit the nail on the head. That is exactly how I feel. So then a fan would need to rely on his coaches and their great decision making and their unstubborness. This is where I lose faith though.

I also recall Shep completing a long pass in a high school All-Star game, and even remember a play early in the 2009 spring game when he completed an 18 yard pass to Tim Molton. So while he may not be the greatest passer, he at least has some experience passing in game situations.
