I would gladly let my child play for the Tigers this year if given the option.

the death rate for young folks is tiny. This is an absurd excuse.
Full disclosure: I have a child who’s a freshman in college this year, and I have ZERO concern about her catching the virus. If she does, fine. She’ll develop antibodies. She has a greater risk of death driving in her car.

There isn’t a circumstance under the sun where he’d have left for COVID-19 if he was a borderline draft eligible guy.
Y’all let me know when a guy opt out for COVID reasons who’s not an NFL player.

I mean If you go to the Poli board the experts there will let you know you’re fine if you’re not a big fat guy.
Ummmm..... I mean yeah if youre a college aged kid, absolutely. all the experts out there are saying that too. Have you been living under a rock? Who is this guy?!
ETA/Shelvin has underlying health conditions, more power to him making the decision he feels most comfortable with. To my comment above though, here’s the CDC stats updated thru 8/26 since the guy I responded to was looking to consult an expert (someone with the ability to read):
quote:
Deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), pneumonia, and influenza reported to NCHS by sex and age group. United States.
15–24 years
All Deaths involving COVID-19: 280
Population: 42,970,800
That’s high school/college age and the data shows a mortality rate to date of 0.0006% in that age group

My daughter and basically her section at Hardin house at Texas have Covid 19. This is her second time.
She will he returning to school as soon as possible. But she is loving it.
Farrell has a justified fear and will be back as soon as we have vaccine. It’s been hell on his family and thus he is high risk.
This other guys are making business decisions. Only problem is that they also have to explain to NFL executives why they aren’t going to do same shite it them.......

If your daughter has truly had Covid infection twice than she is a reportable case as I have seen only about 2 reported cases in the literature.

Unlikely.
It's more likely she had a false positive one of the times.

They might need your kid if players keep opting out. What kind of Jedi mind trick did Nick Saban use on his players that has kept even one of them from opting out?

I really didn’t know that’s what you meant. If that was your point, why didn’t you just say that?
