Last year as well as 2012, there was some shuffling on the Offensive Line until we found a solid starting 5. I think this is as big as question as the QB position right now given how dependent we are on the run. Our 2 guards haven't been getting a great push and the tackles have been inconsistent as well.Any predictions for the starting 5 at the midpoint of the season?

All I know is this should've been figured out before the season started.

you had two running backs that gained 138 and 155 yards I don't see a problem here

All I know is that Boutte should NOT be in the starting lineup.... Maea should retain the RG spot.

Teuhema got hurt in camp. Also, it can take a few weeks for the line to gel. Shake ups happen too as some guys struggle in games.

I thought he was slated to go at LT before the injury?

Teuhema, Clapp, Pocic, Boutte, Weathersby.

Pass protection has been the bigger issue. and the line play has been incredibly spotty. It did look better against Jax State.. but I'm thinking that's because it was Jax State and not because they magically learned all of their assignments.

Maea was hurt, Clapp was stull getting healthy, etc. Uncontrolled events happened and slower our lines development. They should get better as the season goes on, but hopefully sooner than later.

as well as 2012

2012 was because Faulk and Williford essentially had career-ending injuries, and Hurst quit the team out of the blue (still would like to get a good story on that...).

though I guess it gives hope that the line can get coached up midseason. because we looked dead in the water going from that UF loss into the South Carolina game, and then the line came together.

Well we replace Boutte after 1 or 2 games. Might need to do that again this year. We inserted Mae Tea as and rotated the tackles more. Pocic was always center. And our RB's ran for close to 2500 yards combined so I'd say it ended up being a solid 5

I, personally, don't like his skill set at OT......OG is his calling IMHO

The defender who sacked Ettling and caused the fumble, was missed by Weathersby (#66). I mean, he didn't even touch the guy.

The OLine has some holes IMO.

You had/have a once in a lifetime type RB running the ball and piling up yards against certain opponents. He is phenomenal. The O Line should not be awarded a pass because we have LF.

Our O-Line was physically manhandled last year against good teams.

Against Ole Miss, Bama, and Arkansas, they struggled. They were facing injuries at that point and also were pretty much in just pass protection since we were behind for the entirety of those games. You can't ignore their effectiveness for 85% of the season however.

I'm totally fine with us continuing to rotate until we find the best 5. Same with WR's and even... QB.

Fournette would've decimated JSU, to bad he didn't get to play
