not like booing is unique to this fan

The everybody does it defense is a tad hollow when we talking bout a 19 yr old kid who is just starting his playing career at LSU.

So is the "I was booing Miles" defense for poor sportsmanship. Harris and most other sane/honest people see no difference in booing Jennings and booing a coaches decision to put Jennings in the game. They are both direct emotional reactions to Jennings being on the field.

mind boggling crap going on.
That would be the wretched excess ultra garbage being blasted out (Piped In) over the North End speakers. Just totally unacceptable. LSUAD officials still have no clue on how to adjust the settings on the sound system that's spewing out that obnoxious and horrid collection of musical notes.

Why is it acceptable to Boo the opposing team players and mock their bad performances when they are on the road but we can't boo our own team when we are not satisfied with the collective performance and or decision making going on. If your high horse sits on the age argument, then its hypocritical to have that view when its considered acceptable to boo and harass the opposing teams when they are not playing well. If its just cause its a your school thing, then everyone needs to stop making an argument that they aren't professional athletes and then jus say you should never ever ever boo your own team that you support. What if athletes begin to get paid (outside of their multi thousands of dollar scholarships)? Does that change anything? Why can't we Boo our coach when we aren't in support of his decisions?

It isn't about everybody getting a trophy. It isn't about political correctness. It isn't about doing the right thing (although that should be enough).

If nothing else it's about self preservation. You need every advantage possible to win games in the SEC. That means you need the best players (recruits) and the best coaches and you need those players to play their best and the coaches to coach their best. Do you think booing any of them helps? If you want to show your displeasure with the coach (who is by every measure a professional and well compensated for his services), then make sure and do so when players and recruits won't misconstrue your displeasure as being directed at a player....because that is how it is being interpreted.

Sure, you have a right to do it. That doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.

Passionate =/= poor manners or sportsmanship. Poor manners or poor sportsmanship = w-e-a-k-n-e-s-s

Oh, and sorry to know about the lack of potty training.

Manners are just degrees of opinions. Granted there are easily identifiable lines that can be crossed when treating players or coaches. Not arguing that. But a top notch SEC school can't handle a little booing after repeating disappointments at the lack of execution/coaching/decision making... i mean time to toughen up a bit. If i'm a player, i rather hear something from the crowd rather than 100k in complete utter silence. That would be horrible.

Yes. Jeebus F'n Christ. Complaining about booing at a sporting event is about as silly as wondering why the sky is light blue and not a prettier color.

I mean frick people. Did all these frickers spend all their time in Chess Club?

The same people that think like this think that athletes would prefer that if their team is getting blown out that the other offense just start punting on 1st down.

No. THAT is f'n MORE embarrassing!

Only a bunch of chess clubbers and art majors don't get this.

Booing others is just an outward projection of inward hostility.

Prayer or meditation could help with any anger and anxiety issues you may be experiencing. That or a really good exercise regimen.

It's funny because I'm guessing that you can't find a competitive athlete who has NEVER experienced booing and had to bounce back from it.

Hell. Peyton Manning got booed when playing against UF in freakin Neyland stadium for chrissakes.

I'm not supporting booing. But the whining is pathetic. Competitive people know it comes with the territory.
