Yes, Italians placed greater emphasis on family networks and personal relationships than the WASP establishment that shaped America’s founding institutions. But does that justify placing Italy—the heart of ancient Rome and the birthplace of the Renaissance—in the same category as Islamic fundamentalist governments, Cartel-fueled Mestizo’s, or the diverse cultures of North Africa? A few things to differentiate.
1) about 1M were entering per year in early 1900s compared to 15 Million in FOUR years
2) your grandfather came over legally with permission of our government and had to prove he had a place to live and a job (those without papers “WOP” were sent back). They also had to pass a check of physical health
3) there were no entitlements and no federal taxes (pre 1913) sink or swim
4) millions of immigrants returned to their home countries because they couldn’t make it here
5) immigrants were required to assimilate and were proud to be Americans
6) I am not aware of any Italians coming over with the intent of murdering their hosts. None decried “death to America” while defrauding the US taxpayers out of billions of dollars.
You cannot compare illegal migrant invaders with how our ancestors came to this country.

15M over 4 years hasn't been substantiated at all
That 1Min 1900 was about 1.4% of total population, also.
For 330M, the equivalent would be 4.58M per year

OP has problems with descendants of slaves (Western culture and brought here without consent) and others of Western Culture (Latinos) migrating here
And your immigrants from Africa differ greatly, clearly. I imagine immigrants and students from Nigeria will differ greatly in culture and IQ compared to refugees from Somalia.
I may, and that's a may, put money that your average IQ of Nigerian immigrants my exceed white American IQs. I looked for data and couldn't find it.
