Graves is from Baton Rouge. He isn’t a real big supporter of LSU or Georgia.

Woodward has had some incredible hires since his days at Washington. Sarkesian and Chris Petersen.
Since here, he hired Johnson and Mulkey and both have championships. Gymnastics has a championship.
He has steered VUG renovations to keep us ahead of the curve

I'm going to petition Chicken to ban the names "Woodward" and "Jimbo" from this site moving forward. Exit clownshow.

I will also say this about Graves. Hes directly funding NIL for programs that compete with LSU. Go to any canes in Texas and whichever major college you’re closest to he has their players faces posted just like LSU guys in BR.

It is mindboggling how many people believe it was Woodward who made the decision to give Kelly a 10 yr $100M contract. Like he was the only MFer in the room with Kellys agent hashing out terms.

I could not give a shite about Woodward, but that contract is not on him. The TAF and/or BOS made the final call to hire him, how long pay him for, and the amount to pay him. At most, Woodward had input on the numbers, but had he fought 100% for it or against had little bearing on the finalized deal.

His job at LSU is to be the front man to take the heat (obviously doing that well) and make sure the money rolls in. By all accounts, he seems to be doing well at that.

new contract extension in 2021 that would raise his yearly salary to more than $9 million per year and extend the contract through 2031. Woodward had nothing to do with this extension since he was already at LSU.

Who else was looking for a coach in 2021 that might have offered Jimbo and forced A&M to beat/match

Woodward’s initial contract for Jimbo was absurd at the time and was not market value for a one time NC coach. It ruined the market for everyone else.

It was an atrocious hire and contract. Just because the subsequent AD doubled down on Woody’s stupidity doesn’t excuse his stupidity.

Something else rarely talked about is Woodward has hired two coaches that he considered home run hires.

Both of those coaches' former schools helped them pack their bags on their way out because both schools were tired of their shite.

You asked if he supported LSU NIL. I said yes. Nothing to do with where he went to school.

We all know graves went to UGA. we also all know he grew up in Baton Rouge, founded his multi billion dollar company in Baton Rouge, lives in baton rouge, and seems to spend a frick ton of his time at LSU events.

Maybe he can’t afford to buy influence at UGA. Here at LSU he gets to be a big fish in a small pond.

Biography of Todd Graves:
The Early Life of Todd Graves

Todd Graves was born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His childhood was rooted in the vibrant culture of Louisiana, a place that would later play a significant role in shaping his business. He graduated from Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge, which marked the beginning of his academic journey. Todd then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, which would set the foundation for his entrepreneurial future.

The Spark of an Idea

While attending Louisiana State University (LSU), Todd came up with an idea that would change his life. He envisioned a restaurant that focused solely on serving chicken fingers. However, when he presented his business concept to a professor, it was met with skepticism, receiving the lowest grade in the class. Undeterred, Todd faced challenges in securing funding from banks, who also weren’t convinced by the concept. This rejection didn’t stop him; instead, it pushed him to work odd jobs like salmon fishing and working as a boilermaker to save up money for his dream.

So, believe it or not, some people start at one college and earn their degree at another.
