Bottom line, if you hire a guy like Kelly with his level of experience and success, and you're paying him as much as you're paying him, you need to trust him to manage this transition. He doesn't owe fans the appearance of recruiting the way they want him to. He owes the program leadership and wins.

Why are y’all white knighting for the $100M man? If he isn’t busting his arse in recruiting, he isn’t earning his money.

“Moving his family”? Wtf this isn’t a mid level manager position in some corporation.

But with all the “alignment” things have to be going well.

This is today. Napier already visited Quency Wiggins LAST Monday or Tuesday. Saban is in Shreveport today. Jimbo, you can bet, is busting his arse this week as well.

My post mimics what has been written about Kelly for years. Hes a great coach but he's not very hands on in recruiting.

Can you find an article from years ago about it?

It feels like everyone read that slapstick sports writers sour grapes article and bought it hook line and sinker.

If he did he committed a level 1 infraction
There is a seventy-two hour compliance period once a hire becomes official
Napier was not officially at Florida until after the usl game Saturday

Just bc you don’t know about things doesn’t mean they aren’t happening.

That’s different than not being a good recruiter

Notre dame fans did say he isn't a big recruiter.

He lets his staff handle it.

Kelly better learn quick.

I’m sure they didn’t have an axe to grind at all

247 said BK has already contacted and had conversations with all of our current commits and some targets: Mathews, Wiggins, Anthony Lucas, Kamari Wilson, and Law

When Brian Kelly was named head coach at LSU Nov. 30 he spoke about a sense of urgency leading up to the Dec. 15 early signing date. And yet his first in-home visit apparently will not occur until this Thursday, nine days later. By contrast, Nick Saban spend last week preparing his team to win the SEC title Saturday night and about 36 hours later, he was in Shreveport meeting with Kendrick Law. Kelly also has yet to name a single assistant coach (other than his own son for an unspecified staff position). Orgeron's coaching staff is still meeting with prospects, but their own job uncertainty makes that a very difficult assignment. Some progress must have been made thus far, but it would be nice to know what it is.
Ignorant! Besides, why would he tell the public?

With Napier a point is made, but using Saban and Jimbo as a comparison is just ignorant as all get out. Those guys have been with their schools for a while now and have things in place. BK has to transition in. Hell, maybe what BK is doing for his situation is more important than what Napier is and we should be busting Napier's balls.

I was mistaken. It was a phone call on Wednesday, not an in person visit on Monday or Tuesday.

The in person visit was today (I'm not sure if it was at Madison Prep or an in home).
