Seems like LSU has avoided a travesty with the portal and players leaving

Don’t get me wrong, we lose some talented guys, but we’re going to be in great shape moving forward. Nothing that can’t be overcome.

I think its a good indicator of a healthy culture, the players want to be here.

Because "by rule" you can not have a conversation about transferring to another school if you are not. I'm sure that's adhered to religiously by all parties.
The main reason is if you are good enough to be picked up, you do not want the team you may fit best with to fill that spot with another transfer player.

we haven't lost anyone that would have played and are doing very well compared to our rivals.

Everyone is going to have backups in the portal, what you want to avoid is losing potential starters for next season. We have not lost any.

It’s been ok so far but there is a lot of time for back channeling to take place. Also, there are some guys weighing their options for draft. KB was some great news though.

The rich will just get richer which is why LSU’s best scenario is to stay competitive for a national championship. 5 years from now it will be similar to the NBA with popular free agents chasing a ring

2 are going pro (expect 2-3 more with Roy and BJ) and the rest were back ups who were not seeing a ton of time.
