I think you could pick a team out of LSU/Texas/CSUF/ASU if all of them win today.
And, frankly, I don't care at this point as long as they don't put a tough out like #1 seed Miami got handed last year (Arizona).
Yeah, I know you have to "beat the best" and all that, but I really thought LSU's chances to win it all last year increased dramatically if they were not paired with UNC in Omaha (#2 vs #7). I would have rather seen LSU face other teams first. That wasn't a good matchup.

#6 Texas (40-13, 17-9)
Baylor (L) 9-14
Kansas (W) 9-3
#28 Kansas St (W) 4-2
vs Missouri (5/24, Big12 Final)
#2 LSU (44-16, 20-10)
Vandy (L) 1-4
#21 Alabama (W) 9-6
#26 South Carolina (W) 4-1
#22 Georgia (W) 16-0
#22 Georgia (W) 3-2
vs Vandy (5/24, SEC Final)
I dont think UT can jump us, especially since we've put up 4 more quality wins

2 K for Byrd, 23 on the year

way to minimize the damage. byrd is pitching about as good as you could ask from him so far.

the entire 64-team field will be announced in a live telecast on ESPN at 11:30am tomorrow.

I was wondering about quality wins. Thanks. Here's to hoping that our SEC tourney run boosts that a bit. Just need to hold on today.

If Coleman would have held we'd be singing a different tune

Byrd throwing a good game for doing nothing but sitting in the pen most of the year

That's OK. Tigers need all the practice they can get against lefties.

With an ERA of around 7. Didn't UGA pitch a lefty to start the first game yesterday? Or was that more because of the rain than because we were hitting him?

The more exposure to them the better at this point
