Finley still had that one major step to take in his development, and that’s pocket awareness, Some fans here say that’s easy to development. I’m not so sure it is that easy, Before Aub, Finley looked like an NFL first rounder, during the Aub game he looked scared and rattled and still appears shell shocked from that game. Finley now sees ghosts when there are none, the rest of the games we have in the SEC will tell us if he can gradually overcome this,

This "seeing ghosts" narrative is overplayed, especially for an 18 year old true freshman playing in his 3rd game. Does a QB get rattled when they are hit or doesn't have a clean pocket? Absolutely. Tom Brady, the possibly greatest QB of all time and most veteran QB on the planet becomes very pedestrian when he's hit often or pressured so if our less than 1 year removed from HS QB gets happy feet occasionally I think we need to give the kid a break.

Whoa, look out with that lucid, well thought post. You’ll get called a racist in this thread.

I think some fans are seeing "Ghosts" of QBs past, under Miles".
Years of incompetence has warped their minds.

Finley stares down receivers. Holds the ball for a long time. Partially makes up for it with extraordinary arm. I don’t know what you call that

Statistically, Arkys D is better than Bamas. Especially pass defense.

With all this Covid shite going on, I can’t tell who are the top defenses in the SEC, Aggies, Bama, Fla, Aub, or Ga. I just know who’s at the very bottom.

After watching our corners closely on the plays where they get beat, I'm starting to think we may be playing press man coverage with corners that arent press corners.

Go look at the bomb flott gave up.hes lined up in the face of the reciever and barely touches him

We should play safer coverage with a 5-7 yard cushion for flott and ward ,and if Rick's and stingley can play press then let them play press .we know sting can. I'm assuming Rick's is good at it considering that's where hes had 2 ints. Or is it 3?
On that play where flott gets burned ,he should be in a cushion

I think we can agree on this? Were 25th in offense in the nation with a Freshman qb that never should have been playing. So we know our offense is qb friendly and will be at worst 20th or better in the nation when we have a qb that's experienced.

This is the floor for the offense from now on ,we got better talent coming in then we have had recruiting ranking wise at qb in a while.

Finley's not holding the ball too long and just cuz he may pump fake it that doesn't mean hes not seeing the field ,some are just kinda twitchy in the pocket like peyton manning was with his feet. His throws into tight windows are impressive. Imagine his stats without the auburn game ..if he wouldnt have had that tipped int and early drops ,we may have played alot better overall and kept it respectable

At least we know ,tj is the guy to at least backup myles. Maybe we can win a big game with him.

Btw ,if you think about it ,say stingley doesnt get hurt and Rick's not ejected maybe we dont have flott and ward getting burned on those big plays that were tds or lead to tds. We took a step forward on run defense. Keep getting comfortable with Finley and keep the two good corners healthy ,along with an effective running game and we have a chance to win 2 or 3 more games. Especially if we beat a and m this week

I never dreamed LSU would have a cornerback problem, always thought it would be at linebacker.

I’m disappointed in Flott but with the other guys it’s just lack of experience I think. I’m concerned with our lack of talent in the front 7
