Nothing you say negative about him as personal, but you literally have nothing but negative things to say about him. Most if not all LSU fans like what they have seen from him so far.

I don’t think it’s all on him I think adding more wrinkles and using our athletes in more creative and practical ways gives us a better chance of winning than dumbing down the offense and babying him.

This...we agree on.

They’re just facts buddy and I’ve repeatedly laid the fault at the OCs feet and not Finley’s. He’s just doing what a freshman does. It’s not meant to be negative personally towards him but ignoring his limitations creates a dishonest discussion about him.

We do agree, we can’t win vs anybody decent with a keep away dumbed down offense. We need to supplement the run game with satellite plays and strategic shots downfield. The OC also needs to call designed throws to Finley’s left side because unless the play is designed to go left he doesn’t even look that way. The final quarter and a half 90% of the time the field was shrunk to one quarter on the right hand side because of Finley’s tendency to look and roll right. The OC has to see this and offset his habits with playcalling.

Some of them are facts some are not, you can’t say he wasn’t fitting the ball into tight windows while simultaneously saying they were cardinal sins and dangerous throws. They were dangerous in the since that the defenders were close(hence the fitting it in to tight windows). And I know you also mean the ones across his body, he did that maybe 2-3 times the whole game and one was to a wide the frick open Gilbert, it would have been foolish to not make that throw. You a hater bro, it’s ok

Stupid comments? What does high school and Burrows starts in a completely different offense have to do with the product on the field right now? Talk about irony

Well that’s just a discrepancy of definition between what you and I consider a tight window. Throwing the ball recklessly back across the field isn’t fitting it into a tight window, it’s only tight when the ball gets there because it’s such a bad decision. Something beyond 10 yards with a half step to a step is what I consider fitting a ball into a tight window. Labeling someone a hater because you’re too immature to face reality is a sad cop out. I don’t throw personal insults at your opinion so maybe look in the mirror if you wanna see the real hater.

To each his own, Bryce Young literally made the same play on a touchdown to Devonta Smith. On TJ's throwback Gilbert was wide open, Young threw it between 2 Kentucky defenders. The difference? Commentators were in awe of Young's throw, Commentators criticize Finley for throwing against his body. The same commentators called a third down throw to Jaray Jenkins an ugly ball that was a spiral and hit Jenkins between the numbers.

I’m not talking about his cross the body throws, go watch the highlights, he got multiple balls in between 2 and 3 zone defenders, some of them pretty tight windows. Some almost to close for comfort but dude has an arm. You say you are pointing out the facts and want to have an honest discussion, I concede he has many weaknesses at this point, but I’ve never seen you give him an ounce of credit. Saying things like “he doesn’t step up in the pocket, he just rolls to his right” is not true , he sometimes prematurely bails but sometimes no. And you have to look at everything we are saying about him is through the prism of him playing in HS this time last year.

We just need a few trick plays against A&M and Florida early in the games. That will throw them off

This is something Finley should be doing and maybe Ensminger needs to incorporate more QB draws from thinly spread formations instead of the slower developing read option play.

Yes, that’s what Slinger needs to do. We need more designed QB runs to further leverage TJ’s feet footed 1.8 yards per carry.

I can’t never tell if you’re that dishonest or just that ignorant.

Ditto. TJ is the least athletic QB on the roster. He lumbers with the ball. There’s a good reason that the only designed run with him is the QB sneak.

I agree with you about adding to the playbook but they are running the Joe Brady offense.

It worked so well last year that e is scared to change it. Linehan was suppose to add the reverses and pop passes that keep a defense honest.

Even with brennan, nothing was really added to the playbook.
O messed up hiring linehan

Should've just let russ Callaway sit in the booth with e.

In the spring I figured he would be the one in the booth not linehan

I think Finely has acquitted himself admirably. Like any freshman, he has a lot to learn. I would say he has played no worse than Nix did last year.

- that’s exactly the throws you were talking about, you even mentioned announcers talking about them. Now you’re trying to backpedal.

- “he doesn’t step up in the pocket”
I never said that

- “he just rolls right”
Never said that either, I said he bails and rolls right every time which he does.

- “I concede he has many weaknesses
Oh really? Because when I said the exact same thing you labeled me a hater. I guess it’s ok only when you do it.

^^^^
This is why we can’t have an honest discussion about anything and notice the one thing all these issues have in common? Not one of them has to do with Finley, they’re all hyperbolic reactions from you.

Maybe if you’d read the conversation that comment was taken from and understood it’s context instead of looking for singular statements to attack you’d have a clue what you’re talking about.
