Help me out here, what is the SEC miscalculation/connection to JD5 drama???

Not SEC. Jayden was the 1st big miscalculation against LSU. This SEC attack is the second. Not both by SEC. Apologies for the confusion.

Appreciate the polite explanation and apology. Yes, the title wording had it muddled for me, but I see your intent now.

But most people here are just ignoring the fact that lsu capitulated to what the sec wanted. LSU folded.

Folding would suggest that we were ever going against the SEC in the first place

Every step of the way, Kiffin and LSU has stated they would follow the SEC guidance and rules. This goes back to before the court hearing, Lane said it himself in press conferences that they were in contact with the SEC office daily and were going to listen to them. BEFORE THE COURT CASE EVEN HAPPENED. We've never indicated that we were going against the SEC, ever. Quite contrary, we've made public comments that we would follow the SEC. Every step of the way.

The court case was the players vs the NCAA, just like the numerous court cases involving hundreds of athletes in multiple states. The SEC, after never making a peep in any court case before, issues new rules that only specifically apply to these specific players in question right before the case was to be heard, which is whole reason they became enjoined in the case. THE SEC INSERTED ITSELF, LSU did NOT and has NOT, EVER sued the SEC. And even after the players won the court case, LSU STILL abided by the SEC rules, like they always said they would, and did not roster the players despite having legal avenues to do so.

People are framing this as LSU going against the SEC, when we've never suggested we would do such a thing. Ever. That is what's so aggravating about this.

Then in response, the SEC threatened us by holding a nuke over our heads, even after they were already made aware numerous times that LSU would comply with the SEC. And everyone else outside of LSU applauded it.

Tennessee led the charge. Immediate support came from Alabama and Ole Miss. Currently, everyone's quiet except the SEC media rhinos from ..

As much as I enjoy dunking on A&M they don't appear to be one of the guilty parties here.

His venomous words and tone about the state/people of Louisiana, LSU, our courts, the AD/president/governor, were disgraceful, elitist, and condescending.

He should never get a press credential or stadium pass ANYWHERE in Louisiana.

Meant to down vote. LSU continually said that would follow SEC guidelines. From the beginning.

Right. So why even entertain it if they weren’t going to do it?
