-- What LSU would spend to make a change, it would get back more return on that investment by hiring the right coach.
-- Will Wade might not be the perfect coach -- and it might be lazy only to consider him -- but he's the perfect coach for LSU, as was previously proven.
-- If LSU doesn't have the money to fire McMahon, then it certainly doesn't have the money to fire Beth Torina or any other coach during this fiscal year.

I'm so sick of hearing about injuries what bs. You don't get to claim the injury excuse in year 4 when you have the record he's had up to this point
Even with injuries there is no excuse for finishing last in a 16 team SEC
Easy to say when you lack perspective. Others with no emotional ties to the program think he should stay for a few reasons. This isn't a hot take, only to LSU fans. It should tell you something about your own biased opinion.

Pov: you’re a weirdo who touches yourself to Ed Orgeron and have demented yourself into believing the worst coach in school history isn’t so bad because his predecessor paid players and had the audacity to not suck copious amounts of walrus dick and people who knew O was a rock muncher actually liked said predecessor.
Hi diddle dee. Pirates life for me!
What a fricking muppet.

He’s not just barely missing the tournament to where you can give him the injury excuse
He’s not even remotely close and he’s shown no signs to believe he is close. Bringing him back would be purely financial and not due to the fact that anyone believes he’s on the verge of building shite

Name the things McMahon is doing well and why you believe he can get lsu into the NCAAT next season if brought back
I’m honestly floored anyone can look at the results and endorse his return.

Congrats Peter, your bosses at ESPN tell you to make controversial takes and you do exactly what they tell you to do, just like a puppet.

In what perspective are these results deserving of another year?

I still haven't gotten a straight answer on what the point is of spending 10's of millions of dollars on a program that is, at best, fourth fiddle at LSU. I love basketball, but if you're not going to fund it to be competitive nationally, just save the money and put it towards football and baseball.

In your opinion. Again, you lack lots of perspective and you have high expectations of a guy who had one of the lowest NIL budgets until last year. Then you lose your 2 best players early on. Yeah, it had a lot to do with it. It's a lot different when you go from expecting guys like Reece, Tamba, Miller to contribute in moments, to expecting them to win games. Even with that, they lost, what, 6 SEC games by 5 or less? It's really not that difficult to wrap your mind around. Even the guys that call the games are saying the same thing.

No one stays married to a bad take like the queen. The little c u nt couldn’t wait to finally come after Jay after that guy has won 2 NCs

You have no idea what we spend, nobody does. There’s a fricking lawsuit happening right now over it at LSU that they’re not allowing to be posted here probably so that idiots like you can keep pushing your BS.

Because you’re leaving money on the table, basketball has way more potential to earn revenue in an era where that’s the most important factor to sustain success.
We can love baseball more all we want, it will always be a niche sport nationally

And the "increase" in NIL budget brought us up to the 3rd worst funded team in the SEC.

Your issue is, you just look at the results.

This guy has been here for four years and I haven't heard anyone say anything positive about his tenure at LSU lmao.
There's plenty of nice things to say about him.
- nice guy
- clean program
- doesn't cheat on his wife (unlike a couple FB coaches we've had)
I don't think outweighs his (lack of) on-court results, but we can at least be honest he's not a dirtbag.
Posted on 3/16/26 at 10:55 am to Pelican fan99
The people that keep saying he should come back are saying it because they want LSU to keep sucking, and the SEC coaches want him to stay because they know they will have 1 to 2 blowout wins every year and LSU will be in last place!

Ok so prove me wrong and answer the question
He’s had years now, hasn’t built any kind of foundation or shown he’s capable of elevating the program.
An argument for McMahon is purely hypothetical because you have no way of proving even without “injury bad luck” the results look much different, you’re wishcasting

If this is the case, how could most of you be tied to his losing record if we "nobody knows" what kind of NIL he's working with? Can't have it both ways. "Reports" have been we have been lowest funded with South Carolina.
