I talked to the guy I dealt with when I joined and he said no way that 2 tickets together gets past mid 3000's.
, you sir are a dumbass for believing that and I have invoices to prove it. You are not in the know. I got two TOGETHER in sec 635 row T last year and I was 3900-4100 something, so you suck...period.
Actually, I think the guy was talking about THIS YEAR. He's saying someone told him what the range will be THIS YEAR, not LAST YEAR. Just b/c you got 2 together LAST YEAR in the 4000 range doesn't mean that someone will get 2 more together in that same range. The demand is much higher this year. Work on your reading comprehension. So who is the dumbass and who sucks?

someone posted in here that they knew of a 550 and they got west upper chairbacks on the 40. So even if you give them sheetloads it seems you can't add that good of seats unless you really fork over huge sums.

I posted that, and I also posted that he chose those seats over endzone seats that were available.

"LSU" whats your opinion of my chance of getting 2 extras together anywhere in the stadium. My ranking is just below 3000.

2 west upper may be available if it's a similar waiting list to last season. Piggyback seats may be available in a better location. Maybe a very small chance of south endzone.
Doesn't seem like the price increase affected many renewals this year.

I just called the ticket office as well and the rep told me that new ticket requests were being processed in tandem with existing ticketholder upgrade requests based on priority point ranking. He also said that they don't think anyone with a priority point ranking above 1,500 would get new tickets or upgrades and that they'd be done with the entire process by the end of next week.
I had been under the impression (based on a conversation with a TAF representative who was soliciting donations) that upgrades were processed before new tickets were sold, but that does not appear to be the case.
If this is true, then TAF has received their last non-mandatory Tradition fund donation from me.

You were lied to. They simply go down the priority ranking list & have done so for the past few years.

Crap-cut off above me again (like #1611). Sure seems like if they were doing it fairly, they would shuffle everyone every year based on PP # (for the seats wholely installed and managed by TAF).

They are calling their buddies first. Then they will get to the "waiting list".

Yup - box office guy was matter-of-fact about this. Live and learn I guess.

I understand your frustration with being told the wrong thing, but the way they do it is the only fair way. It wouldn't be fair to allow upgrade new tickets before waiting list new tickets with no regard for priority point ranking. They batch them all together (upgrades for current season ticket holders & waiting list for new season tickets), start from the best priority point ranking and work their way down ... that is the fairest way to do it.
Also, I know you said you spoke to a TAF representative so this really doesn't apply to you (cause they should know what they're talking about when they relay info to Tiger fans), but I don't understand why some LSU fans get so upset when someone in the ticket office gives them bad information. You have to remember that 90% of the staff in the ticket office are LSU students working a student job at $7 per hour, they're not necessarily "LSU ticket experts" ... they are cash register clerks, nothing more. If I wanted to know Blockbuster's strategic plan and fiscal numbers for the second quarter and how I go about buying the stock, I wouldn't ask the teller at the store for the information (and if I did, and they gave me some info, I'd take it with a grain of salt) ... If I wanted to know how to change the address on my account, maybe they could help me, but anything more than that I'm going to someone a tad higher in the food chain...just a random thought.
