"You expect Miles to say they suck? Do you remember his comments a few years ago about the "best oline ever" and it turned out to be horrible?"
I was speaking to the fact that they better be working with the first team because that's where one of them will be playing. But yes I do remember Les saying that about the offensive line that couldn't block anyone, if I remember correctly it followed an even more infamous quote of how JJ was making tremendous progress. 2 shining examples of why you can't always take a coach seriously. Although you have those on here who say "The coach knows the team better than you do or if you know so much you should be coaching them"

Best O-line vs best D-line somethings got to give.

Rivers runs like a giraffe, high-steps all tacklers.

Serenity now!
Those are the combined stats for both offenses. All of the passing TDs likely were the result of playing a lot of red zone plays. The rushing yards: we have what will probably be the best o-line we have had in many years and a stable of great running backs. Ones vs. twos is likely behind the high rushing numbers.

I hope la'el played. Didn't ware miss the last scrimmage? I hope hurst isn't hurt. He missed last scrimmage too. Hope loston heals up good.
I can't take anything from this. He NEVER tell you what's going on and will hide just about everything.

any stats?
People haven't figured out by now that Les just makes stuff up and sends it to the media. I find it extremely funny

unless you see the scrimmage and understand the context of what they were working on, stats and comments mean little anyway.

I understand, but Giving up 300 in rushing is never good. I really hope our linebackers get it together.
We may be a good rushing team still....

Was thinking this when I typed my last post

keep in mind this is the total for "both" teams in a normal game, LSU was on offense and defense on every play for 120 plays

I wonder how much was good vs good?

Thanks for the link. My only concerns for this team are chemistry and injuries (not sure that we have depth at QB and now we're thin in the D backfield). They need to gell early and stay healthy.

Lots of things in there for concern. Nothing on la'el, loston is made out of glass, who knows what is going on with ware, recievers sound disappointing to him, sounds like hurst may be back for the start of the season. Yikes.

I'll assume no news is good news, CLM's excitement about vadal is probably more for having a good/capable back-up.
Loston is made out of glass, but there were rumors that underclassmen were pushing him for his safety spot, so we aren't barren there in terms of talent.
I'm not concerned with Ware yet, les didn't seem worried based on his comments
Think CLM is trying to continue to motivate the receivers, most other reports are about how well they are doing.
Hopefully hurst will be back

“Ohhh somewhere. It’s a midpoint. A mid lower. A lower not quite all the way low. A mid low area.”
That was the quote from Miles on Ware. That's another classic Les quote. I think you are reading too much into the injuries at this point, especially opening up with North Texas.
