It’s because he knows that we will need to use the governor for other things in the future.

Sure. It'd be great if everyone did.

They also have God-given rights to speak and demonstrate as they please.

I hope he continues to push the issue. At a time when the country’s pride and morale is most certainly at a low point, someone needs to step up.

Landry is Scott's indirect boss

No, he's not. Landry can't fire him and put in his own crony.

We all know by this point that Landry is a vindictive SOB, so they had to tread carefully.

We don't. LSU really should've told him to piss off and worry about actual in-state issues, like a normal governor does.

This is all just a power play for Landry to look like Louisiana's version of Ron Dion DeSantis. 2027 he'll lose the governor election and go for the presidential bid. Nothing this clown do will help the state in the long run.

Most of us griping, including myself, are Republicans. We’re not Landry fans because we thought conservatives weren’t supporters of trial lawyers turned career politicians, politicians in the pocket of the attorney led Gumbo PAC, a politician who has AG signed off on settlements against a Medicaid provider while also accepting six figure donations from them. But alas, one trip to Mar-a-Lago, and all is well.

He can replace people heading that way until his cronies replace him. Would take a minute but the power the governor has through the appointment system is unchecked

We don't

Have you not paid attention to anything in his past?

Agree, but unfortunetly he is the current elected governor and until the legislature or a constitutional convention pulls back in some of his power, we have to deal with this.

If you had to make a declaration on an anonymous message board to try and push a point. You are not and never were a Republican. Good effort though I’m sure you’ll fool some people.
