If I recall l, Schultz was awesome but just small in stature. Therefore, he was not a pro prospect and stay for all 4 years.

I always remember Schultz taking a come backer off the head. I was a kid and thought he was dead.

E.g., That famous grand slam from Todd Walker that sealed a comeback win over A&M in the 1993 CWS would not have been possible without Schultz coming in to slam the door.

Yeah Laxton got rocked early in that one. Schultz pitched well in relief.

Don't forget guys like Mike Sirotka and Lloyd Peever, who had one of the best seasons ever.

Schultz was around before the Internet. So was I. That makes us both older than dirt.

Not the best stuff

I've been going to LSU Baseball games since I was a freshman 32 years ago...Skip's second year.

In all that time, Scott Schultz had the nastiest breaking stuff I've ever seen from ANY LSU pitcher. Bar none. A consistent 12-6 curve that straight up fell off a table.

Wrong. Scott Schultz had one of the best curve balls ever from any pitcher in LSU history. It was almost unhitable. He had a good slider and changeup. His fastball wasn't great but adequate. He had great location on his pitches and the stats bear this out.
