Are we going to pretend Brady didn’t completely revamp our offense now because he doesn’t coach here?

so only young guys that are virtually unknowns (you prob didn’t even know who Brady was this time last year) can do what Joe Brady did last year?

I'll be more reserved than usual on it...but to say you had all of this interest in the job and you come away with Linehan just seems odd. Doesn't even really seem to jive with what you built last year on offense either

Well that's underwhelming. Not a big fan of the recycled NFL hires.

See: Cameron, Malcom

Does Linehan know modern spread concepts?

Off of that logic, linehan doesn't know what a wheel is. Look at his past players critique of him. They think he was terrible at his job. Also, off of that logic, see what our offense does this year

A program coming off of arguably the greatest season in the history of the sport. But I am sure that you are so far ahead of all fans that you know how well he fits for what Orgeron wants in the position.

And link to where I threw a tantrum? I called a guy a douche nozzle. And he is...

In fact, I am far from it. I'm not reacting to the hire at all. I am trusting that Orgeron (you know, the guy who made the best hire in the history of LSU football in Joe Brady and led LSU to a National Title) knows what he wants from the position and thinks it will be a fit. But again, I am sure that you and "ProjectP" know better than him

No.

I’m simply arguing that Joe Brady was an excellent coach who brought a unique value to our coaching staff and not just anyone can “do what he did”

You disagree?

if y’all saw some of the shite he called in Dallas y’all would be pissed too. he was running a stone aged offense. joe brady put our players in positions to excel in our offense, linehan did the complete opposite in dallas which is why he got fired. at the end of the day at least he’s not the OC i guess.

100% agree

to go from waldron, to bleimayer, to even lombardi...those list of names that were floated were amazing.

then to end up here, welp, i bitched for years and Orgeron delivered a title.

i'll stay quiet.

Maybe. I was just answering the guys question.

If anything, this is more of a direct hire for Brennan

I’ll trust O as well. I wasn’t happy when O was hired as head coach, and we know how that turned out.

This is what I love about Rantards, they create human beings that are infallible. Orgeron cannot make a bad hire or a single mistake ever because he’s our coach and he won a natty. Just like Miles hiring co-DCs after 07 was perfect and hiring a nobody as OC after Crowten was an infallible hire. Lol you ppl are so stupid.

Agree.

I can't understand this hire.

Not to mention he's a 56 year old that has spent the last 20 years in the NFL - recruiting would be my concern here. Both competency and the willingness to do so.

I agree. No one is saying that no one else can do what Brady did. Brady was a unique coach. I am saying linehan can't.
